Who Has Never Gone Away Without Their Children?

We have never gone on vacation without the kids. But we both work and both have gone to conferences alone, so yes I have time away from the kid, but never alone with my husband.
I don't think that I would enjoy being on vacation without them, I already don't them during the day, so I when I have a day off, I really want to be with them.

After the drive up for Christmas last year, DH and I determined we're always leaving the kids at home. Tycho is un-sedate-able.

Of course, when we have REAL kids.... I would be more likely to do mini-trips without them, and yes, to WDW. I don't know if I could go for a week - I'd miss them too much and ruin the trip. But 3-5 days would be nice.

We are going To WDW in Sep for 20 anniv. with ds (14). Need I say more?
Actually we have done a few small trips but didn't feel right and now we feel like our time is running out.
