How much have you earned for your trip? What program did you use. Give me some inspiration so I can get started for a trip in October.

No inspiration here, last year I think I made around 750.00 in webcertificates, gift certif.at the rainforest, amazon ect., hardly nothing this year.

Two years ago I paid for a 5 day disney trip totally with rewards. Pointclick (gone now) for hoppers, Freeride (not like it used to be) I won the daily magic bus so paid for 4 nights at the Dolphin ($75 a night through priceline), Mypoints, beenz, memolink, greenpoints and a bunch more gave me $400 in webcertificates for spending money plus $300 in food gift certificates and disney dollars. That Christmas was pretty much free to thanks to those programs. Those were the good old days were you could make $10 a day on some programs (especially pointclick and beenz). Now I average $30 a month through mypoints and I don't bother with any other programs.

I tried to pull up the thread for you but search is disabled.

I am suffering from RPBO right now and am not doing any on a regular basis.

Not only did I pay for these WDW vacations I help finance Christmas for the last three years with rewards programs.

Sorry to say that the good old days of Great PayOuts are a thing of the past.And boy are they missed.

I hope I get out of this slump soon and get back on track with rewarding.DS starts school this fall maybe then.But for now I am taking them one day at a time.

I have to agree with Mal on this one...a couple of years ago, the Rewards programs were awesome...Pointclick, Freeride, Beenz...they were awesome...one year I had about 300 in gc for food and 200 in webbies...and it didn't take long to get them...now it seems they raised the point levels and it is harder to earn points...but I think My Points is the easiest one right now...to me anyway...

Mal, I'm burnt out too! The only thing I am doing is clicking the links in the my points emails. After over a year of doing them nearly everyday, it just wore me out with them.

For out trip, I pretty much paid with everything with the rewards. It took a year, and there were 4 people here doing them at the time. I think we ended up with about $3000 in cahs and giftcertificates.

Rewards used to be a LOT more rewarding. Rewards Programs gave us (family of 5) two absolutely debt- free Christmases. With all of us doing programs like freeride, pointclick, and beenz, we were really cleaning up. Nothing even remotely like it for well over a year now.

Anybody remember the Alta Vista rewards program? I won their weekly contest and got a trip to Europe (God bless them). That was the summer of 1999, and all I was trying to do was earn enough points to get some blockbuster GCs. Keep on entering those contests listed on the contest post, ya never know!

I'm glad there are still some programs that pay, slow going though it may be. I don't spend very much time doing them anymore so I do appreciate the heads up from other board members when they find something interesting. Thanks for all your help everybody!

Yes, Mal. We did get to spend a day at Disneyland Paris, and saw The Lion King while we were in London. We were in Cannes a week before the film festival. It was not to be believed.

It was nice to see how the "other half" lives (sigh).

Tiggerroo,

I'm taking my DD & DGD to the world this coming October too. I started off slow on the rewards programs, thanks to the advice of Mal & others here. It's really alot to learn, ya know. Besides I was only doing it at work, um, during lunch of course.:rolleyes: I was doing only Blink & Milesource for a few months...the computer at work was sooooo slooooowwww...I got agravated with Milesource and quit doing it b/c I thought it was too slow...it was that computer that was slow. Anyway, I got on the net at home and now I'm doing: Blink, Milesource, MyPoints, Millers, Creations, Click to the Magic, Epoll, Searchcactus and Memolink. Three of us here are doing it. I hope to get enough to at least pay for our eats & some soovies.

My tally so far: Blink: $100, MyPoints: $55, Searchcactus: $75, Milesource: $75 in GC's, Creations: $30 DD's, Epoll $10 GC's (not received), Memolink: $10 Walmart GC. Not much really, but not bad for as long as I've been doing it...I never purchase or sign up for anything that will cost...I'm all about saving right now.

I wish we were around back in the good ol' days.....some of the talleys I've seen are really inspiring! Look luck!

how long have you been doing it ?so people get a idea how long it takes to cash out.

Also how many people at your house do it?

Mal(sounds like a loaded question huh?????LOL)

I do Blink, Milesource, RewardTV, My Points, Creations Rewards and CTTM.

I have $55 in my webbie account and am waiting for two more for another $45. I have $50 in RFC GC, $10 in Taco Bell GC. I will be able to cash out for another $10 at CR this week and probably for each week thereafter due to ebay (please leave that going for a litttttle bit longer!). I can never getto RewardsTV at the right time to cashout due to the time difference here in Alaska, but have enought for $25 in GC at the current rate.

I only buy things I really need on the reward programs and when I get more than the usual points. For instance bought a $20 jar of the most incredible face cream on Refect (we need it up here in dry Alaska!) for 1,000 points and $20 with free shipping for the heart shaped Altiods tins and a lipstick I could find no where else at drugstore.com for the 500 points on Mypoints when offered. I also bought the tickets for my recent business trip on Expedia through Blink. I have also bough GC through Mypoints when they had good offers, so that I can get points for my offline purchases as well. And did a small amount of Christmas shopping through the reward sites.

We are going in May, so I only have a month or two to get a little bit more and have time to receive the rewards before we go. This is our "fun" money, what I will use for us to go to more Character meals than I would nomally do, Cirque du Soleil tickets, and the meal at RFC.

I know it was possible to make much more a year or so ago, but this is free money for me and I am really happy with it! Now that I know about these programs, I can start working now on my next trip with my next oldest ds in 11/2003 for his birthday (I take each of my kids on their own with just me on their 7th birthday, and then once again in pairs, so everyone will go twice, once to DL and once to WDW). I have enough time to rack up some big rewards for that trip!

Jennifer :D

wow I think those are impressive totals given the state of rewards right now! You go girl!

that should inspire some of us burn outs and newbies!

Mal;)

Mal, I've been doing Blink, Creations and Milesource for almost a year now although I quit doing Milesource for a while then started back....I started out doing it only at work...on my lunch hour of course. When I started planning our October trip I got the internet at home and got my DD's to do accounts (since they're going on the trip too) and I started doing more programs....but I dropped some like LAG & ATR & Prema that didn't seem like they were going to pay very well. So we've really been doing them hot & heavy since about November. Blink is really slow right now, but before they went to all the 5 pointers, I thought it payed out really well. It took me FOREVER to get enough at Milesource for a supercertificate, but I did quit for a while. I don't know if I'll ever get enough to cash out at Millers, hate that program. It took forever for me to cash out at Creations too because I can't stand to do skiff, I think that one will be a little faster with surf & earn.

One thing I was doing was switching phone companies right & left for rewards....I hardly ever even make a long distance phone call...and was quiet amused by switching around and driving them crazy after they drive me crazy calling all the time wanting me to switch....None of them make any money off me b/c I RARELY make a long distance call.:rolleyes:

Well, I've been at it since August 1999, actually got my husband involved too and between us we've earned:

$180 DD - Beenz
$ 10 DD - Suzykats
$ 55 WC - Mypoints
$140 cash - Searchcactus
$ 75 cash - Netflip
$ 50 PH gc - Milesource
$100 RFC gc - Milesource
$100 Mariott gc - Milesource
$ 25 WC - Blink
$ 10 Starbucks gc - Epoll

Everytime I get tired of doing these rewards, I remind myself that our trip is only 302 days away. That's only 302 more days to earn rewards to make this as budget a trip as possible, as I promised to DH after the last one. Maybe once I finish for this upcoming trip I may stop for awhile, unless I start planning a new trip right away;)!

Did any of you do alladvantage.com a few years back? It gone now, but it was fun while it lasted, I made about $400 in the 6 month or so when it was big. If any of you did it how much were you making? Just courious.

I have never heard of these programs you are talking about. Does anyone care to elaborate? Thanks.
