Who has made coffee at Kidani?

I usually get a resort mug and use that for coffee in the morning, but we are not getting the mugs this trip. I was going to bring my own coffee, but how's it going to taste? How is the water at Kidani? Does your coffee brewed in the room have a gross Florida water taste?

Thanks!

I had no problem with it last month (or any other time I've made coffee at AKV Kidani or Jambo). But I might be less picky than most. I usually buy the Joffrey's blend sold in the AKV gift shop, the Kenyan roast that comes in the cloth sack. Good stuff.

We've always made our own in-room coffee. We bring our own coffee from home since WDW hasn't had good coffee in years. (I remember when they only served fresh brewed Columbian coffee). If you drink coffee, soda, or tea in WDW, they use the same water you do to make coffee in your room.

We brewed our own at Kidani as well. I grind it at home before we leave and store it a screw-top, hard plastic, ziploc container. We didn't notice the water making it taste funny.

We also bought some disposable coffee to-go cups at Publix and used those during our stay.

I always make coffee in the room , last year we made lots of coffee since we stayed in a studio and I never noticed a funny taste. I have to say I think Disney must have good filters on their water supply.

I bring my own coffee and use bottled water. I don't even use tap at home, I filter it with the Brita filter.

That being said, there's a coffee station in the small lobby store at Kidani, and the coffee's pretty good, IMHO (and I'm a coffee lover). I don't buy the mug, just the occasional cup of coffee.

have a great trip!

I brought my brita pitcher (packed it in the checked luggage) as I will never drink tap water. I also used coffee from home.

Important note -- The cups in the villas are VERY small. I strongly suggest that you pack a large plastic mug from home (perhaps one of your resort mugs from a previous trip). That's what I plan to do on our next trip.

Have a great time!
