Who has Howard Stern today!? He has been pulled from Infinity Broadcasting!

You know there is more than a fine line between Oprah Winfrey's show on what's happening with our teenagers and Howard Stern's "humor."

I caught bits and pieces of Oprah's show and it opened my eyes! And I'm a teacher! I can bet there are many moms out there who had no clue about what was discussed. Hopefully some of their eyes were opened too and they're able to stop something that they hadn't seen before.

My eyes have never been opened by Howard's show. And Dan's got a good point. Just because you can say it, doesn't mean you should.

I dislike Howard but I will fight forever for his right to be on the air.

DH figured it out right away....KROC has a classic rock format and the two goofs he had in there were playing some junk stuff. He had it pegged inside of 5 minutes.

I also dislike all of the shock TV on the air during the day.....all the decendants of early Oprah....Ricki Lake, etc., etc., etc. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.....

My DH is also a Stern fan and figured it was a joke because of the music being played, WYSP in Philly is classic rock and they were playing Brittany Spears.
I watched Oprahs show and learned alot. I have a 13 yr. old DD and I never heard of the things being discussed on Oprah. When DH got home I couldn't wait to fill him in on the new lingo all of which he knew. He had already learned it all from Stern. So, I guess we both got the message but through different messengers. BTW, I'm not a big fan of Stern or Oprah just so happened to be channel surfing and found her show to be very informative that day.

Let me add another element into the fight!;)

Isn't Gerry Springer still on the air? If so, why?

I wonder why also?

This does NOT appear to be a joke. I heard on talk radio that this was regarding the show on teen sex that aired last week. Hey, fair is fair and Howard's right. Draw the line or don't. But be consistent.

And this is Stern's point. If the FCC is going to become the Morality police then they need to be that way to EVERYONE! Oprah has Millions of watchers - Stern has Millions of Listeners. Their topics are different but Stern is under fire because children could possibly hear his show. Oprah is on the air at 4pm at my home - right when kids get home. So children could also see her show. The other day the SATC girls were on Oprah talking about sex - um hello!

If the FCC is going to draw a line then it will have to be a line that everyone is going to have to follow. I think there are a lot of shows that are going to be effected by this new FCC - Jerry Springer, Ricky Lake, Stern, Oprah, and so on and so on. Would Ellen have been able to "come out" on her show with the new FCC regulations? How much longer will "Will and Grace" last under the morality police?
