I'm also a fan of Northern Nights. However, I'll also occasionally find a 600 thread count set at Big Lots for $30 for a king size set - I've never had a bad experience with thread count that high.
Amazed at all the QVC responses. Unfortunately they don't really have colors right now that appeal to me.
I am considering one set from Land's End, but it's only 200 or 300 thread count- the higher thread counts are more than I want to spend right now. But they do have sales occasionally so I will keep an eye out.
I have 300TC sateen sheets from Wal-Mart that I adore! I bought them for my apartment because they were only $20, but I think I like them more than the nice ones my parents have at their house. I also like the depth of the fitted sheet, I have a queen-sized featherbed on my full-sized bed and it gets around all of that plus the mattress!
I'm very picky about sheets. I really like Target's Fieldcrest® luxury 450-thread count sheet sets. They do get wrinkled when you wash them, but it doesn't bother me. I just love the way they feel! And at $50 for a queen set, the price is great, IMHO.
sorry, cutting in on this topic for a question.
Has anyone tried those 600 count sheets that they sell on streetcorners, a or in gas station parking lots? I am in FL right now and see them everywhere.
I saw them last year atthe Big E in MA but didn't buy them and now I see them all over here in Clearwater. They are any size for $20.
I just got a new temperpedic 11" mattress and need new sheets but the cheapest set I found in Kohls and Walmart that were 400 count were over $80, wow, too much for me to pay.
I would love to hear about sheet suggestionst....we used to buy Hotel Living sheets at Linens n Things...but they have gone out of business..so I will be lost for my next set....I think they were around 400 ct. I think they were about $100 for the top/bottom sheet...the pillow cases were extra $30-40...
I don't like higher thread count as they are too thick/heavy for Phoenix weather.
I am SOOO pickey about sheets...I need soft soft soft....I wash them about 15 times before using them and they are still not soft enough for me
Bought some 800 thread count at Macy's today, king size for $80. My dad loves them. They are on sale until Tuesday and fit his VERY deep mattress perfectly
