Who has gone to Ohana's @ 9:30pm?

Just wondering because this is our reservation time in May. Was the service the same? How about the food? Thanks so much!

Food was fine. Service was not, but I don't know if it was just a rotten server or because it was later. A rotten server is going to be just as rotten at 5 pm as they are at 9 pm. If you have kids, you should note that the children's entertainment ends at 9:30.

We went around that time a few years ago because it was the only time we could get. The service was fine and so was the food, however, after a long day at EPCOT it was hard for us to eat a huge dinner like that at that hour.

Do you have to be staying at the Polynesian to have the dining plan included in the dining reservation at Ohana.

I remember a couple years back we booked a dining reservation on the dining plan and the cast member didnt tell us it wouldnt be included in the dining plan because we werent staying there.

I have to say I don't understand this. 'Ohana is on the dining plan whether you stay at the Polynesian or not, and you don't have to say you are on the dining plan at the time you book the reservation at all. All you have to do is tell your server when you get there that you are on the dining plan. It doesn't matter where you are staying at all.

That answered my question. A couple of years ago we booked dinner reservations at one of the big hotels (dont remember which one..we had to take the boat ride to it..I think it was the Floridian..but not 100% sure). It was listed on the dining plan. When we got there, they asked if we were staying at the hotel and when we said no she told us that they could seat us but that they would not apply the Dining Plan because it was only for people who were staying at the resort.

We had an 8:45 there on our very first trip and the food and service were equally as good as they were at our 5:30 reservations. Hope you have wonderful food and wonderful service!

It is included in the Dining Plan. They do give you priority to seat if you are staying at the Poly and don't have a reservation, however.

We had a 9:45 reservation last fall there and it was GREAT! It was quite and a perfect way to end the day. It just so happened it was one of the nights that MNSSHP was happening and they moved us to a table by the window so we could see the fireworks! We arrived about 30 minutes early and were seated within 5 minutes. The food was some of the best we had the entire trip. Enjoy!!

Which is completely incorrect...unless you didn't have the dining plan on your resort reservation. The dining plan is only available to guests staying at Disney resorts who book a package reservation and add a dining plan for the full stay to the reservation before they arrive. Either the person you asked did not know what they were talking about, or they were confused and thought you were staying offsite.

We have. It was great we watched hallowishes which was at 10pm that night (we went in september). I noticed no difference compared to whe we went earlier in the day

We ate there around that time 5+ years ago and it was awesome, so awesome in fact that our first day ritual(besides MK, Ears and a stroll down main street)isn't complete without a late dinner at 'Ohana's.

The food was beyond excellent, service was great and the best part was that when Wishes started they dimmed the lights and piped in the music. Plus, we started with a rum punch drink in a giant pineapple with umbrellas which never hurts(unless one pokes you in the eye perhaps).

I was sad to see that they got rid of the scalloped potatoes though, they were the best potato dish I ever had. And of course you must save room for the bread pudding. Enjoy!!

They ask you when you check in at the podium if you are staying there at the Poly.

We had it on Thanksgiving one year and it was tough the kids were so tired they were falling asleep at the table plus we never eat that late but we wanted to try Ohanas. Then they were only serving traditional T day food so that made matters even worse! We went back the following year and had a 9pm Ressie we got there an hour earlier and was lucky enough to be seated by 8:30 and we got to see wishes

I've seen people say the service and food get bad closer to closing time, but we just ate there at 9:30 PM when we were there in February and the food was just as good as the times we ahd eaten there at more "normal" times. There was no sense of being rushed or food being reheated or cold or any of those horror stories. If i hadn't known what time it was, I couldn't have told the difference. I wouldn't worry about it at all

One of those "horror stories" was mine
We had a really awful meal at 9.45PM there last October. We were the very last people to be seated/served and let's just say it was not good. It's a shame because we had a great time there only a few months before, but the memories of the day & night that followed that meal do not make me want to eat there again anytime soon.

I can tell you all to keep trying. I am going in May and for the last 4 months all i could get was 9:00 or later and i wasnt going to do that becasuse DD (4) would be so tired her face would be in her plate and mine probably too. I tried last night Online and got a 6:45 PM dinner ressie. Keep Trying back
