We've been in July the last three years, and the year before that Early August. There is no noticable difference between July and August, IMO. Either in weather, crowds, etc. It's basically the same. So, I wouldn't let that deter you from deciding when to go. It rains just as much in July as in August, and it's luck of the draw. We've been in the summer for a while now, and sometimes it rains a lot, last year was a lot of rain. The summer of 2002, it hardly ever rained and the temps were in the mid 80's the entire time we were there. Low humidity as well, it was gorgeous!! That year was an anomalie, so it shows you how varied the weather can even be inthe summer. Anytime at WDW from mid-June to late August, expect high crowds, hot humid weather, and rain.Originally posted by Mrs.A
We went last year in Aug and made it thru the heat and rain.
I was wondering is it real crowded in July? It would be towards the end of July. Or should we stick with Aug. again? Has it been known to rain alot in July?

I also remember that storm well. We had just finished watching Spectromagic and were debating whether to stay for the fireworks or not. Well, the wind picked up and we litterally RAN to the bus stop. It started pouring right after we got to the bus overhang, but it really didn't help since the rain was coming down sideways!! The bus ride back to BCV was VERY interesting and again, no covering helped, and we got back to the villa completely soaked! We stayed under the awnings the entire time, but it didn't help! For us, since we were heading back, it was funny how hard it was raining, but for those of you in parks........Originally posted by dznyacct
We were there for that e-night on July 19, 2003. What a storm!!! Our group of 9 was camped out in Casey's hoping for the storm to pass, not!! My husband HATES storms and was freaking out thinking that someone was going to get struck by lightening. After an hour or so, I ran down to City Hall to ask about getting a refund. We then headed back to WL and got our refund without any trouble. I have been to many e-nights but 6 people in our group hadn't, so I was a little sad that they missed out. Later in our trip, me, my son, my son's best friend and my nephew did another e-night. That time the 3 boys got stuck on Splash Mountain for an hour and a half!! We sure didn't have much luck with e-nights on that trip!! Oh well, we're headed to WDW in July again after our DCL western cruise. There are 3 e-nights during our stay, so hopefully we'll have better luck this time!
