I'm considering trying this. Do you need to bring your own hair pins/barrettes? What types of styles do they do?

Pictures would be worth a thousand words! :)

I did the updo thing a couple of cruises ago. I took a rhinestone barrette because I had read here that the barrettes in the spa cost $40!! It was just an $8 barrette! The lady asked me what I wanted, but I didn't have anything specific in mind, so she just did something. It turned out very nice. So it sounds like if you have something specific in mind, they will do that for you. They will supply the pins.

I had my hair done in the spa in Nov 04'. I didn't really know what I wanted done so the girl just made beautiful curls with just her fingers and some spritz, and of course bobby pins (I had 70 of them when I took it down the next morning). She also placed a beautiful barrett on one side that almost matched my jewelry. The entire "do" took about 25 minutes and cost with tip included $70. That is pretty much what I had expected to pay. It was well worth every penny, because I suck when it comes to "fixing" my hair up special.
