I know every restaurant has its fans and haters. But Tony's really gets bad reviews on here. We have never eaten there but were thinking about it for our upcoming trip. What do those of you who have eaten recently think?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. We have reservations for September but I worry after reading some of the things on here.

Subcribing to get the latest.:goodvibes

We just ate there last Tuesday and the food was good and so was the service. It was about the 3rd good meal I had during a 2 week trip to the world.:thumbsup2

We had a curiously mixed experience eating here on the deluxe DDP last May.

My appetizer, the tomato and mozzarella salad, was very tasty, though I thought it could have used some bread or crostini to balance it out.

DH's minnestrone was so bland he had to use the salt & pepper. He only finished about half.

My Bianca flatbread was rich and tasty without being too greasy or overpowering.

DH's chicken parmesan was dry, bland, and tasted processed, like something you would throw in the microwave from Stouffers.

My gelato was grainy and had a weak flavor.

DH's no sugar added green apple sorbet was AMAZING!!!

Our main waiter was friendly, but slow and tended to disappear for long stretches of time.

Our assistant server ran his tail off to get us refills, napkins, anything we needed.

The atmosphere was placid but unspectacular. It didn't stand out in a good way or a bad way. It was just calm and neutral.

I would go again, but now I have a better idea of what to order (until, of course, they radically change the menu for no reason).

I wasn't too worried about the problems with the restaurant because it was only one of a billion meals we were eating that week. If you're only going to do 1 or 2 TS during your trip and want them to be special events, I would look elsewhere.

This is a middle-of-the-pack WDW restaurant.

Your right you will have fans and haters about everything. That why I am out to go to at least almost every place once. Some in epcot for me will always be a no. Anyway as far as Tony's we like it there. I get spaghetti & shrimp there . It was good. My entire family always eat's there and like it.

We ate there in June and it was fabulous. It was one of our top fav's of the trip. The food, service, atmosphere were all very nice.

We'll eat there again!

We had a great dinner there in May. I had the spaghetti with meatballs - very good, huge portion, couldn't eat but about half of it. DS had the chicken parm. and said it was good. He only ate about a third of it since the portion was so big. He didn't like what was offered on the children's menu, so we allowed him to order off the reg. menu. DH had the pork roast dinner and ate every bite, but his portion sizes were much smaller. He didn't go hungry, though, he finished off DS's chicken parm. He said the pork was very tender and the palenta was tasty and he also enjoyed the chicken parm. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, but we had a great server. She made sure we never ran out of drinks and we didn't have to wait very long at all for our meals. We enjoyed it and would go back again.:)

I ended up switching my reservations to Kona because of all the bad reviews both here and at allears and went with a place we had never tried before. Hope it works out well for us!

I had booked Tonys 5 months ago and really wanted to try it (despite the terrible reviews) but I read the new menu last night and nothing is doing it for us and the eggplant is no longer offered so I cancelled it and moved to CP instead.

We were there Saturday.... and truthfully it was not good at all. DBF and I were not very happy with the food....I got the Chicken Parm, and DBF got the steak... well the chicken parm was gross, I tried putting salt on it and there were a few pieces that I questioned was even done.... well I am not the type to say something so DBF said something to the waitress and she was very understanding and let me order something else... we have never been there and we were very let down because there are some people who do like it so we thought we would try it....

Has anyone eaten the Good Morning Gathering at Tony's? We have a group going and wondered what it was like - food, atmosphere, characters, ... Any info would be great. Thanks.

I just ate lunch at Tony's yesterday. We thought it was just okay. We probably would not go back. The food wasn't bad, but not great. I shared a flatbread and chicken caesar salad with my DIL and it was good. My son got spaghetti with marinara sauce and my daughter got chicken parmesan. Both said their lunch was good. We just feel there are better places to eat at. Just to be really picky - the wall right by our table was kind of dirty. There was a picture hanging there and there were spatters of food on the glass.

I am trying to confirm if the Beef & Spinach Cannelloni is still on their dinner menu or not...anyone that has been in the past month or so that can confirm this? All Ears still shows it (updated in Feb 08') but another person who was there recently said they think it is now gone (but could not remember for sure)....it was SOOOOOO good the last time I had it. I have an ADR for Tony's in Sept and do not want to walk in having my heart set on Cannelloni and not end up with it....decisions, decisions!!

We were just there last week - excellent service!!! :goodvibes

We always get Tony's flatbread (lunch only) it was awesome as usual :thumbsup2 . My daughter got the kid's pizza - she liked it. My sons both got chicken parmesan. One liked it, the other one didn't. :confused3

We go to Tony's every time we are a WDW.

I too saw all the bad reviews but the DH and I decided to try it for the simple fact that MK does not have many TS restaraunts and we already had ADRs for CP...LLT and CRT. I mean seriously how can you destroy sapaghetti and meatballs right?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The new menu from this month is on the Dis website...

Looks like a nice place to eat. You would think they would have more sit down places at the Magic Kingdom.
