Any done the Fairy Tale Package. Let's hear from ya!

I just got back from the FTP. It was very hot and rather crowded! No more going in July for us! LOL!

We were there last week (July 12-19) OUr first time ever at WDW in the summer. Yeah, hot, humid and crowded, but Hey! We had an entire week! OUr usual trips are only 3 or 4 days so this was a fantastic trip! Got to see everything and have rest time in the middle of the day(s) so we were not too exhausted when we got home.

We did the FTP 7-15 to 7-22, booked on a whim only five weeks ahead. The parks weren't nearly as crowded or hot as I thought they would be. Use fast pass, EMH, AC, breaks and the mister fans. The components of the package are your resort, UPH and a framed Mickey Philharmagic print with pin. The dimensions of the box it comes in are 15" x 18 1/2" x 1 3/4". Since we flew, I had to get very creative to fit it in my suitcase.

The UPH are great--for the first time we visited Disney's Wide World of Sports. Now DH says the Tampa Bay Bucs cheerleaders are his favorite "Disney characters"!

Toward the end of our stay, the crowds seem to pick up. The FTP is bringing a lot of first time visitors to the parks who aren't familiar with the tips and tricks. That may also account for a little of the crowds/lines.

We were there from 7/11 to 7/19.
The crowds didn't seem any larger than when we have visited in the past. I heard that attendance has been down the last couple of years--we haven't been there in 3 years--so we didn't really see any change.
And we used a lot of fastpasses this trip, so it felt like we were standing in line less this trip.

Overall, I would say the weather and crowds were MUCH better than we expected !!

We had booked our October 03 trip this past January and were spending about 1200 each. After we heard about FVP we went to our travel agent and asked to rebook. She did and we ended up with the same exact package for $747.00 each. A savings of close to $500. We couldn't have been more excited. Can't wait to get there for MNSSHP!! -Nancy

I will be doing the FTP in October. This visit was also not planned for this year but the deal was too good to pass up. I could never have afforded to stay at the AKL a whole week otherwise.

We're back from our FTP, July 4-11th. We always go this time of year, so the crowds don't phase us.

We had a great time, great weather, and even did Disney Quest with our UPH's. The framed artwork is beautiful, and our room view was extraordinary. The package was a great value. I wonder if they will offer something similar next year!

Just got back 7/13 - 7/20.
FTP was great - only problem with unlimited park hoppers is that you feel you should do EVERYTHING! LOL!
When you check in you get a voucher to pick up your art work. Most (if not all) hotels have it at their merchandise stores, but we ended up getting ours at the art store in DD.
