My kids were dying to do the mini golf last trip but we just couldn't get to it. Now we are going again next week and my questions is how hard is the Fantasia course? Our kids are 8 and 10 and haven't done a lot of mini golf. Is it worth the time? How crowded does it get in the evenings, we will be there the 28th to the 7th. We are still on Christmas overload so don't think we even want to try the Winterland course. Any mini golf experts? Thanks!

Did this with my girls 3/2000 (they were 4 & 6 at the time) and they still talk about it. Really enjoyed the theming.

There is a Summer side and a Winter side. The Winter side is supposed to be easier. Most of it is not Christmasy, but all of it is wintery.

We have played at the Fantasia course before, and all of us loved it. It was lovely, and not any harder than any other mini golf course that we had played. Also, we snuck in some reading practice for the DD's. Each hole has a description of the scene from Fantasia. Had each DD read the description aloud before hitting the ball. Lots of fun! We played during the day, however, so I can't comment on how crowded it would be in the evening.

The mini-golf is so fun! We always do the Fantasia course.............

Because we (dd16 and I) have been going to WDW for a few years, we have observed ALOT. One year in particular stands out. We made an immediate "friendship" with the family playing in front of us (dad kept trying to play professional golfer......everyone was giving him a hard time!) and the family behind us who had a 3 year old who totally didn't care about the "rules"! We all cheered each other on, laughed at each other, encouraged the little one, and had a fantastic time. We ended up with a horrid score, but we had so much fun. That's why we go. To have fun. :flower:

One course at Fantasia is laid out like a real golf course. It has sand, water and most of the holes are par 3 and some are par 4.
We had a really good time. I play golf alot and was horrible at this course. It is tough. Basically what you do is just go to have fun. Its almost impossible to have a good score on this course.

The other course at Fantasia is your normal putt putt course. Didnt play that one.

We will be going back in a couple of weeks. Im playing real golf at Lake Buena Vista Course and then goofing around at the Fantasia courses again.

Have fun!!

We have played minigolf in Disney & love it! It is so much fun and a nice little break from the parks. :D

Only been to Fantasia golf once, but we had a great time. I don't think it was any harder than a course you find anywhere else. (Not the 'golf' one, the 'putt putt' one.)

When I went to Fantasia, half my group did this course with the sand traps and water, and the other half (including me) did the Fantasia side. Our side was pretty normal, but the "real golf" side was very difficult according to my friends!

it is fun, but if it wasnt included in a package, I dont know that I would pay extra for it.

It's a little more expensive than a mini-golf spot outside WDW, but it's still fun, nonetheless. It does tend to get crowded in the evening. Although we've never played the mini-golf side, as we play the "real" golf side, the mini golf side is always crowded.

If your kids are into mini golf, then they'll enjoy it. It was ok...but still just minigolf, not much different that any others in touristy areas. I found it to be a bit expensive, but much more convenient that the ones off site.

We played Winter Summerland on our last trip and loved it! Our ds (he's 5 and has been playing "regular" golf since he was 19 mos) had a blast. It was a great break from the parks and a really fun evening activity. :D

We loved Fantasia Gardens. We played the mini-golf side - not the putting/strategy side. We played at night & it wasn't terribly crowded at all.

Hi!:)
I was also think of maybe going to play some Disney mini golf when we all go down. Does anyone know if there is a website or anything like that where it shows pictures of the 2 different ones?
