Just saw a commercial for these and I really want to buy them. With shipping, it's almost $30.:scared:
So who has 'em and what do you think of them???

https://www.bumpits.com/

Complete waste of money. My DD13's cheer team all ordered them. You can achieve the same effect with a little teasing, hairspray, and creative hair ability. Don't waste your money.

I've seen the commercial a million times and just think they are stupid (no offense). I don't understand why anyone would want their hair to stand up like that unless they were going for that beehive look ??

Yeah, but I don't like to use all that product and teasing can damage hair. My hair is very thick and doesn't hold well plus I live in Florida and the humidity is killer. Did they work at all?

I don't know if they work but i'am seeing them at different drugs store for sale, I'd look around and save on the shipping.

I have 4 daughters and we ordered it, they work good. The only thing is it took 6 weeks!!!! I would buy it locally if possible. It was $34 with shipping.

We saw one the other day when we were at the mall. You could really tell that the girl had something in her hair....it wasn't 'normal' looking. When she walked past us we looked at the back and you could see the bumpit underneath.....so I'd definitely say only people with thicker hair should wear them, so the hair will cover the bumpit. Plus I'd save the big/large ones for special occasions....she looked to have the small one in her hair (very straight hair) and it still made a huge bump LOL

I JUST bought a set off of eBay for $21.50 including shipping. From reading previous posts, I'm not sure how they'll look in my hair as it is extremely fine and thin but that's why I bought the Bumpits in the first place--teasing with spray just does NOT cut it.

When they arrive, I'll let you know how I like them.

I looked at some reviews online for these...don't ask me where, though... I just googled "bumpit reviews" and read from there.

From what I remember, the ladies who had fine hair said they didn't work well for them, like you could see the device in their hair. Plus you still had to tease and spray, so it wasn't saving them that much time or damage to their hair.

After reading that, I decided to save my money, so I can't give you firsthand advice, just what I read online. Hope it helps!

Haven't visited the South yet, have you?:rotfl2: I'm only teasing folks so lets not get all anxious. Seriously though, when I moved down here I was in for a HUGE culture shock.

Seems like something that would be worth a try if it was say $10 but not $30.

yeah, New England has a hwole different scene for looks than the rest of the country, usually it involves some sort of wool and leather for the winter though ?!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2:

Looks like you could achieve the same look by taking a barrette and pinning it in place. Some barrettes have teeth in them. Get a cheap barrette that has the teeth, break off the snap side and use it like a bump it. That's what I'd do!

That's probably where the idea came from for the $30 version.

LOL, when I was pregnant with my first it was in the early 90's and everyone was still doing the teasing/aquanet bangs, in all my pictures I was nothing but hair and belly LOL.....I'm so glad that's over (well for me anyway)...some people still do it but seriously I hope that's a fad that never ever comes back in.

I know - ewwwwww! Maybe I'm behind the times, but that reminds me of that icky girl Babs in Animal House. I can't believe it is fashionable in 2009 anywhere. And I'm from the South!

I just received mine a few days ago and am disappointed; I have fine hair and you can TOTALLY see them.

I think they'd be great on thicker hair but I definitely don't recommend them for anyone with fine and/or thin hair.
