Hey guys.

We've become pretty good at crowd dodging during peak times like spring break.

We've got a trip comming up in May, and Im wondering what things are like during the week (not around Memorial Day). Is everything pretty open? Are our tricks and tips needed this time around? Or is it so nice that loads of people are there together trying to beat the summer crowds?

We were there in May last two trips and loved it! Great temperatures and light crowds. Everything was open, and we had a great time. We have to go in August this year since it's getting too hard to take older kids out of school, and I'm scared! We went once in June and the temperature was above 105 almost every day! But it was either August or never, so here we come with our fingers crossed.

I've been there in May every year for the past 11 years and would consider the crowds to be 'moderate'. Depending on the day and what part of May you're visiting you can expect to wait anywhere from 1/2 hour to 2 hours for the 'biggies' like Splash Mt.

Weather is usually great; 80's-90's (though one year it was over 100 all week), little or no rain, just a wonderful time to visit. Any tricks you've learned for other months will work well for May, I'm sure.

I have gone the last week of April or first week of May each year for the past 10 years. I would consider the crowds to be moderate to low. We usually only wait at most 30 minutes for Splash and Big Thunder. We are going May 1st - 10th this year. My countdown timer can't move fast enough!!! :D

IMHO May would be the peak season if the kids where not still in school. Perfect weather, not too hot and not too cool. If it rains it is usually in very short burst. Also the parks, while not empty are not at or even near capacity. 30mins - hour wait times.

We did May last year and are going back this year. I took pictures from inside the parks because I knew no one would believe how few people there were!!! It was 95 everyday so with a little one we were pooped out by lunch but went back for a swim and a nap(during which it usually rained in the late afternoon) Only difference this year no e ride nights!!!:( but we're there 1 day more this time:earsgirl:
