Is there mail Friday? Are the banks open?

Hmm...I'd assume banks are open because I have to work. I work for Bank of America and don't work in a branch or anything (I do offline research on problems that come up in the ATM network) but we get off for every bank holiday.

I'm kind of glad I don't have Friday off, though...there would be WAY too much work to catch up on on Monday if I did.

I'm off Wednesday-Sunday so that I can travel down to Mississippi for the holiday. If I wasn't travelling, I'd just be off on Thanksgiving. Our office is closed both Thursday and Friday, but I would still have to work on Friday.

I'm off on Thursday and Friday That makes me very happy. I'm in the middle of my surgery rotation, so a 4 day break is fabulous. Thursday counts as a holiday, so you only come in if you're on call, there is nothing elective planned. Holidays in the hospital count as weekends, in that you only come in if you're on. Friday is a regular day, and technically, I'm supposed to come in, but whether we do or not is at the discretion of our chief resident. Lucky for me, I'm doing peds surgery right now, and the chief is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, who told me to take the Thanksgiving weekend.

I am happy to report - tonight is my "friday" this week - I am off Wed - Sun. We originally planned to travel but then decided to stay home but we had both already gotten the days off - so we are just going to hang out together.

Catching up on PTO - taking tomorrow off. I have to take at least 20 days before the end of the year - otherwise I lose it - they changed the amount of hours we can keep. I will end up losing a couple of days but not many.

I work for Wesbanco Banks in Ohio, and we are of course closed on thanksgiving but are open normal business hours fri sat & sun. too bad cause I could use a long weekend !!!

I work in an endocrinologist office and have W, Th, and Fr off which is awesome cause I have tons to do lol. I am using the time to do some shopping for Christmas since the girls will (sadly for me) be at my ex-husband's house for the holiday. DF on the other hand is working every night including T'giving .

No short week for this fast food worker. In fact, we're open Thanksgiving Day until 2PM. Overtime pay for those who "volunteered".
