I really think I want one. My LSS said she would order it for me and give me 40% off I would pay for shipping. IT would run around $150. IT seems really nice. I played with the one she had. It seems to give a cleaner cut than the sizzix. Any thoughts?

I think they are really neat, but can't justify both a sizzix and a quickcutz. It was cheaper for me to get started with the sizzix so that's the route I went. Have fun, they seem great.

Lisa, IF you could do it over again and money wasn't an issue would you still get the sizzix? Do you really use lots of the die cuts? I want it mainly for the letters. I just hate forking out the money for any of it! Plus I have so many letter stickers!

Here's my opinion:

I really like the Quick Cutz--I've used a friend's several times. I like the fact that it is compact...You can store several alphabet sets in a small space...I like some of the fonts (especially the one that looks "cursive")

BUT...

I have the Sizzix...#1 I could never get rid of it because DH bought it for my birthday. I like the price I can get the dies for with the Michael's coupons and honestly I like the Sizzix fonts and dies better because they are bigger. I tend to have really big, bold whimsical pages, and these work better for me. The only draw back in my opinion is storage, but that is only because I have very limited scrapping space.

If you have the opportunity to try both, I would play with them and see which works better for your album style, storage space and price range.

Good Luck and let us know what you decide!!

does the $150 include a font or is this just for the cutting system? If it includes a font I would make the $150 investment. What a good LSS to give you 40% off. Wish I could find one to do that.

Let us know what you do.

I'm jealous

I have a sizzix but I have used both at crops. I do prefer the fonts on the Quickutz, but I found the machine quite hard to use and I don't have any special problems with my hands. Anyone with arthritis would find it impossible I think.

I think the $150 must include a font, as the machines alone aren't that expensive in the UK, and we normally pay more than you do. I think the prices are now pretty comparable between the systems.

The only drawback of the quickutz is that all the fonts are fab so I would want to own them all - with the sizzix I am quite happy with my serif and lollipop (i'm not fussed on the shadow, I could handcut that if I wanted the look), and since that's all the choices there are, then I've had to stop collecting!

I have to say, I don't own many other dies, and I don't really use the dies I do own - my dd likes the dolls, and I like the alphabets and it does get used a lot.

has all Quickkutz 30% off right now!
I think I might buy one - I have been debating the sissix vs quuckcutz debate myself - I've used bolth - and I keep coming back to the storage - mobility issue.

Thanks for the link. I really think I am going to save up for this. Their prices are just slightly higher than what I can get at Sadies. I just have to decide on the style! I like several! Plus I think I can only get upper case at this time!
