Who has a Peg Perego Aria and do you like it?

I am wanting to get a Peg Aria, but dont have anywhere to test drive one. My dd is 2 (25 pounds) and I have a Mac Quest that I use all the time, but wanted a stoller that was a bit bigger, but not huge. I have looked at these online and I wanted to get some feedback from someone who has one. Thanks

We have the Aria and LOVE it! We registered for it but didn't think we'd get it since my DH's grandparents got us the travel system from Graco. However, much to our surprise and delight, we got it! I was soooo excited and have used it more than the Graco for sure!! We've taken it to Disney 4 times already and have used it ever since our DD was 4 months old. She did great in it and it was SUPER light to get on/off the bus. The basket underneath has a lot of storage and the straps are easy to use too. The only thing I didn't like about it was the clip on cup holder. It comes off very easy so we bought a velcro cup holder attachment to go by the handles. It worked out pretty well for us and had a zipper storage part to it as well. Good luck with your decision, hope this helps!

We had one... it was very lightweight and fairly decent... but it was not very sturdy on rough surfaces. At Disney, we had a used Venezia (larger Peg Perego) bought for $40 that was much better for getting through the parks, over curbs, rough surfaces, etc....... especially for a bigger toddler.

I have one and loved it until DS was about 18 months or so. I still like it but as he gets bigger its harder to steer and he's actually very small for his age. It was also around that time I got a city mini and that I LOVE!

We had the Peg Perego, then switched to the Combi, then the Maclaren Volo, and finally settled on the Baby Jogger City Classic (dd was older and I wanted the higher weight limit than the City Mini). The Baby Jogger is the best stroller we have ever had, I cannot praise it enough!

Thanks for the replies so far. I have heard complaints about it being hard to push and that is what has me worried. I had a Combi years ago that became a thorn in my side once my dd got to a certain weight. She was on the small side too. My youngest dd is on the small size and I dont want to go through that again. Anyone not have a problem with pushing the stroller as their child got bigger/

My neighbour got an Aria for her son at a Garage Sale for $3. She pushed him around in it for their two week vacation -WDW and US/IOA. He was 4.5 and over 44" tall, not sure how much he weighs he's rather skinny. His older brother pushed my Perego P3 and said he liked mine better but I don't think there was anyone riding when he was pushing it.

I know that I looked at buying the Aria and my niece was too big for the straps to work and that was the previous year so she was only 4.5 when she tried it out and was about 42".

I own an Aria and a Quest. You really are not upsizing if you get the Aria. It does not give the child anymore space than the Quest. The only thing you really pick up is the tray and a larger basket. We thought the Aria was fine but not great. It is not sturdy and does not push that well. The Quest is much nicer. We also have a Graco for our nanny. DH greatly prefers the Graco (one of the more compact models) b/c it is easier to push and the basket is much bigger.

You might want to try something like the Peg Si or even the Peg Pliko Lite (has been discontinued). The two are nearly the same with the Si being the newest version.

I haven't tried one yet (but have been wanting a Pliko Lite for a few years now) but have heard that many parents prefer this over the P3. The push is very nice and the seat size is large.

I have owned two P3's in the past and really loved them and still regret selling them. Each was our WDW stroller at some point for youngest DD at 3 months and at 15 months.

Now we have the BJ City Mini for WDW. Great stroller too but I still miss having a P3. I think a Pliko Lite or Peg Si would fill the void though! LOL

That is the reason why we got rid of the Combi and Maclaren once dd hit about 40lbs it was sooo hard to push and steer. The Baby Jogger is a breeze to push. We just had our now 7 yr old 53lb dd at WDW and pushed her around all day long (she wears braces on her feet so it is easier for her to ride) and I literally could push through a crowd with one hand. Soooo easy to push and fold it with one hand. I suggest hitting a BRU and putting your child in the strollers and try them out. We had the Aria for about 2 weeks before we sold it.....very very very hard to push if your child is over 15 pounds or so. Not sure why it felt so flimsy but it felt like the wheels were going to fall off everytime we got it going....and the whole frame just felt weak. I love the baby joggers....but they were too big for us to tote on vacation so we went with the Joovy Groove. It's very easy to push and we pushed our 6 year old around in it when she'd nap, and it pushed just as easy as when we'd push our youngest. We also had the Joovy Groove 2 (the double) and loved it as well. Really large baskets, reclines nicely and the sun shades were very large (almost as large as the Baby Jogger ones). It also has some pockets on the back, one zipper pocket and a water bottle holder, and folds compact (like an umbrella stroller)....etc. Just a really nice stroller overall.

None of our baby stores around here carry upper end strollers. Only Graco, Evenflo, etc. We dont even have a BRU, just a TRU with about 3 stroller choices
Thats why I wanted to get input. I bought my Mac Quest from albeebaby, but their return policy isnt great. Restocking fees, shipping, etc.

I got a P3 off Ebay because my DS 2.5 was getting very hard to push in our old Aria. I loved the Aria until he got too big for it. The P3 is good, just a bit bulky.

When my DS was about 18 months old I 'upgraded' to the Peg Perego Pliko P3. He is a big kid and it's still great with him (When he will get into it!)

Are you interested in the Baby Joggers? I am looking at a Baby Jogger City Elite or Micro Double for our trip in December with the two boys.

We've had the Aria in single and double form neither was great if the kids have any weight on them, like more than an infant. I have seen that they have come along and are wider and bit bigger than the past but they still feel kind of flimsy when i tested the new version.

Pliko P3 will be your best bet if you're looking to keep it for any length.

We have an Aria and a P3 and much prefer the P3. Both have been to WDW, and the P3 has a smoother ride, better recline and easier "drive." The only thing the Aria has that I like better is the access to the storage basket. The basket on the P3 is its only flaw in my mind.

I've got a Graco stroller and a PP Aria, and so far I like the Aria best right now. Of course, my DD is only 4 months old and weighs 15 pounds, so my thoughts may change as she grows.

I bought it because it was so lightweight and easy to fold/unfold. I will say that it didn't do well on the rougher concrete surfaces at our local zoo, it was a bit difficult to steer.

I have the Aria Twin. I was hesitant to buy it after reading negative reviews on it, but I am SO glad that I did. We love it! My twins are around 25lbs each and sometimes my 5 yr old even rides in it when he gets tired. It worked GREAT at Disney, way less cumbersome than the Baby Jogger dbl (which I do love, but not for toting around at Disney). I love that this stroller has a tray, not many do, that's what kept me from getting another Mac.

Just keep in mind that it does not push easily on gravel or grass. IMO, it works great for the mall and amusement parks.

We purchased our Aria when our now 8.5yo dd was 15mo. We also have a 4yo ds. .. The Aria was our go to stroller for both kids (we also have a Peg Milano which is ginormous and not something I wanted to haul through airports!)

We took the Aria to WDW three times and to New Orleans and Nashville once each. Our last WDW trip was when dd was 6.5yo and ds was 2yo. Every time I popped ds in our carrier (for naps, etc) dd jumped in the stroller. We had NO problem pushing her around in it.

I like the Aria over many other options because of the full push bar. I don't find strollers with separate handles comfortable to use and neither does dh.

I'm actually contemplating if I should bring the Aria with us in August for our next WDW trip (land and sea). Ds will be 5.5yo. Not sure yet which way we will go with that.
