We are going to look at one today and trading my Pilot in. I love my Pilot but need something w/ v8 to haul our travel trailer camper!

Not a first hand review but my mom has had one for the last 5 or 6 years. I know she loves it and my dad keeps trying to get her to trade it in and she won't:rotfl:

I have one and I love it. This is my second one. I just got a new one last week. I was debating downsizing to a BMW SUV but after driving the BMW it didn't feel as smooth or as plush on the inside. The Armada drives amazingly smooth and has great handling for such a big car. I also love the interior. It is very well laid out. The seats are wonderful and provide excellent back support which is a major issue for me. The gas millage sucks but is the same as most big Suv's. I get about 13 mpg. The back is nice and roomy and fits my teenage boys and all of their friends and sports equipment too. It also has a great sound system and I love being able to burn my CD's into the hard drive so I don't have CD cases to store. If you have any specific questions just ask.

We have an 2006 Nissan Aramada. Love it! We use it to tow our travel trailer as well. Great truck. Would love one of the new ones, but this one paid in full and working very well!! :)

You will enjoy it. Just make sure it's enough to tow your travel trailer. While it is rated for 9000 lbs, our camper is 6000 lbs empty, we are probably closer to 7000 loaded (with food/clothes/propane/batteries/camping equipment/people in the car) and I don't think it would be comfortable towing much more.

Happy Shopping!

I've been reading these boards for years and when I saw your question I had to register to respond. I have a 2004 model-I was told that this is the first year they came out. I LOVE my mada or "The Tank" as we sometimes call it! It's very roomy. I haven't had any problems with it except the normal maintnance. I always have kids with me so I have plenty of room. We had to evacuate during hurricane Ike and I was able to load myself, 4 kids, 2 dogs & all the important stuff up in it without any problems. I've kind of gotten the new car bug but when I start looking nothing can even compare to the Armada because I need the room, it drives great for such a big SUV-feels like a luxury car!! Only problem is the gas mileage but I don't go very far-just stay around my town.
I would advise you to go test drive one. Good luck in your decision.

We bought it! It is a 2006( we never buy new); we traded my 2007 Pilot. I think it will be a much better fit for our travel trailer ( only 4,000 lbs loaded but still). It does drive like a dream, has the tech package, towing patch and is a really pretty navy metallic blue! Thanks for all the positives; it made my decision easier!:goodvibes

We had one as a rental when we were at WDW in 2007. I HATED it. Way too big for me. I felt like I needed a ladder to get into it and it took a huge amount of gas to get us back and forth from Kissemmee to the parks that week.

we have a 2008 and I love it. Love LL THE room. gas mileage sucks but so does other suv's. I only drive 6-8 miles one way to work and kids schools are on the way so I can deal with it. We drive to WDW and its 8-10 hr drive and I love being able to spread out on the inside.

We bought a 2008 last year and we love ours! We have very tall and big teenage boys (O-line football payers) and they are very comfortable on trips (little sister goes back on the third row). Gas is the only issue we have, but I mainly taxi my kids around.

We went from a Tahoe to an Armada ... I like the Armada much better :goodvibes

We bought ours new in 2008 and agree with all the pp's: gas mileage is terrible, I think worse than friends' SUVs, but way more comfortable and smoother driving, tons of room for the 5 of us and all our gear, we just love, love, love it.

One word of warning though... the "service engine" light is erratic. We had a Nissan Maxima before this that did the same thing and we have friends with armadas that also complain of this. Sometimes it'll go off on it's own after a few days, but we have had to take it in other times so they can hook it up to the computer and clear it, which is around $50 or $75 I think. Also, be very careful to close the cap on the gas tank tightly, a few clicks each time, otherwise it'll definitely come on and will not clear by itself.

Also, there was a recall on the gas gauges, maybe in 2009? It wasn't recalled until after we were left stranded on the side of the road having run out of gas though... Nissan called a tow truck for us and they fixed it, then we saw that the recall came out soon after that. So check and make sure that yours has been updated!

Hope you enjoy it!

I love my Armada! It's a 2010 and I've never had a problem with it at all! Drives so smooth and a LOT of room...only complaint is that it eats gas but when you look at any of those big vehicles they all have about the same gas mileage. I got mine cause I live in the Great Smoky Mtns and the last few years we've had bad winters and lots of snow but I still have to get up my mountain road and get to work and let me tell you that Armada can go in the snow! It beats the heck out of my husbands truck, I actually enjoy driving it in the snow cause it's so safe and drives so well!
Hope you enjoy your Armada! ;)

That is interesting. My Toyota Camry does the same thing. I have to time my inspections around cooler weather since it is less apt to do it during the cooler weather months.
