Who has a beginning and ending tradition?

DH and I have a beginning tradition. On our first full day, we make an 8:05 (or as early as possible) reservation for Crystal Palace. I prefer going on non-EMH mornings. Mainly b/c Main Street is a little less crowded. However, after we eat we always start out with Adventure Land, so we typicall make it by rope drop. It really sets the stage for our trip. Keep in mind too, that we have no children (well one on the way) but none each time we have done this. The characters are an extra benefit, but we just love the atmosphere of CP.

start he first night at DTD because of a late arrival time. That gives the kids a chance to look at possible souveniers. The last three times we have had dinner at Rainforest though I'm thinking about switching to House of Blues next trip. The last day we have breakfast at Chef Mickey's and head to DTD to get anything else we need.

We've been going to WDW just about every year since 1998 and, since we stay at BWV, our first night's dinner is ALWAYS at the San Angel Inn in Mexico. My girls and I look forward to it every year! Our last night is also spent in Epcot - LeCellier (although I tried suggesting other restaurants and my kids vetoed it!):thumbsup2

Our tradition has sort of changed. We always start with a meal in the MK if we arrive in time - it used to be lunch at LTT but now we enjoy CP (and I get an early dose of winnie the pooh). Our first night also had included HDDR but for this trip we moved it to our last night (which might be a new tradition). And of course our last breakfast is with Pooh at CP.

I Love the Idea - this past visit we started at Ohanas and loved it so much we decided to stay at the Poly our next trip. So we will try for Ohanas again. Not sure about the last night. I'm trying to decide if we want to do a signature restaurant, a fireworks cruise, DTD.....

It seems that Crystal Palace is a popular choice. I can see why. We ended our trip this year with lunch at CP and my kids just loved it! Next year we are going to do breakfast with an early 8:05 adr for our last day. Thanks to all of you for your ideas! I just love them!

We usually arrive at BWV by the early afternoon. After checking in, we head directly for MK. That first night we eat at LTT. The next morning we all go to CP for breakfast and split up with everybody going their seperate ways. For dinners, we all meet at a park/resort restraunt that someone has choosen, and we all eat together. Two must nights are just for my wife and I. We eat at Chef de France, and the Brown Derby/Fantasmic dinner. The last morning, we're all back at CP for breakfast before departing for the airport.

First night there's nothing quite like California Grill to get us in the Disney mood. Last night is usually a wind-down night at ESPN.:goodvibes

Our last night is always Ohana. Its our fave place to go and we love that being out last thing we do.

The first tradition we started was back in 1997 which was my first trip to Disney at 32. It was in December and the parks were all decorated and since I absolutely love Christmas it was truly an added bonus for my first experience. I often tell my parents that it is probably for the best that we didn't go to Disney when I was a child as I am not sure I would have gotten back on the plane to come home. While I have gone back at different times of the year, we have been back to Disney every year at Christmastime and this year is our 10th anniversary. As far as Dining traditions - I am not sure exactly when it started by we like to dine and Le Cellier on the first and last night of our trip.

Our tradition is dinner at Portobella Yacht Club on our arrive day and breakfast at Boma when we leave. We usually arrive around dinner time so a meal at DTD lets us absorb some Disney atmosphere without wasting a park day.

Our first night is always HDDR and our last night is alway Ohana's. This works great because we normally spend the first and last day at MK.

We always start with an evening walk around Crescent Lake and watch Illuminations from the bridge. Our ending tradition is watching the fireworks display from the beach at the Poly

We rent a car, so our last day tradition is to go to the Studios, have lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, and then leave for the airport.

Haven't read the entire thread so somebody probably already has mine....In fact, I think I got from a similar thread last year!

Ours is b'fast at Crystal Palace on the last day. We make an 8 AM ADR and if the park doesn't open until 9, you get some "quiet" time to take in Main Street and the Castle and get some good pics! We were finished in time for rope drop at 9 AM and rode Haunted Mansion with 2 other people. It was GREAT! We did it for the first time in March, have it planned for December, and will plan it for June.

Even though we have had only one trip together to Disney so far, I think the DH and I will be going with the two restaurants that started us off and ended our trip earlier this month. We have our next trip booked for next september !!! And I'm already deciding on where we'll be eating. We started off at Liberty Tree Tavern and it was fantastic. Very homey and comfortable, great way to ease into the Disney spirit. Plus those buns and butter! Delicious! Our last dinner for this trip was 1900 Park Fare (at the Grand Floridian Cafe). Was a nice way to end the trip on a high note.

Hope your trip is as magical as ours was.

no arrival tradition but for the past 5 or 6 trips we have always had breakfast at Ohana's on the morning befoere we we check out no matter what resort we are staying at. Its is a fun place to eat with Stitch and plus we usually request a window table so we can look out accross bay lake at the castle and see inspiration point behind POLY were DH and I were married in 95. After Breakfast we will ride the Monorail one last time to say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom.:thumbsup2

We don't have a beginning tradition but our last 3 trips we've had our last meal at Earl of Sandwich.

We go to Chef Mickey's. And we always go to the MK for our first park day. The last night, I always take one last look as we leave the parks until we can get back for another trip. I always have tears in my eyes.

Have had a first night dinner at 'Ohana and last night dinner at Chef Mickeys three times now. Will be doing the same thing again in December.

Riding the monorail, seeing the castle, being near excited families leaving MK and enjoying the Poly resort and 'Ohana gets us in the mood for a terrific stay.

Wrapping up a trip with the gang at Chef Mickey's almost seems like the natural thing to do. Although I am a little sad the trip is almost over it doesn't spoil a fun and good dinner.
