We are in the process of planning our next bathroom remodel. Since we took out the tub in the master bathroom, we need a tub in this other bathroom. I've heard of bubble tubs - supposed to be airjets, but not a jacuzzi, which recirculates the water. So, since it's just air, you don't have the possibility of gunky water.

We need to find a new tub. So, it's either a 6 foot regular tub or an airtub. Anyone have an airtub?

I do.
I love it. It actually has both--jets and air bubbles. I think I like the airbubbles better than the jets. After you turn it off, it waits so many minutes and then comes on again and blows the tub dry. Mine's by Pearl. So happy with it. To use either of them, you do not have to fill the tub real full of water.

Good luck!!

My parents just got a safety tub from Premier Bath that has "hydro therapy" but the jets blow air not water. It's gentler on old bones! But "hydro" means water, right? Shouldn't it be "airo-therapy" or something like that? :confused3

I wonder if they say hydro just because the air blows the water and and t does feel gentler and different from jets.:confused3 Who knows? I think those safety tubs look nice for older folks. My grandmother always wanted to take a bath in her old age instead of a shower but she stuck to showers because at 90, she was afraid of getting stuck in the tub!:scared1:

We have one and I love it. We've had it about 10 years. It bubbles and relaxes you beautifully and a few minutes after you're done, a fan/motor thing comes on and blows out all the ari holes till they are dry.

You never get the yukky water thing like in a regular jacuzzi.

We live in an older home with tight spaces, doorways, and hallways. I really wanted an airjet tub and we found a great one through Bain Ultra. It is the Thalassa, and it has two built-in arm rests, grab handles, and a heated back rest. We had to go with the smaller, 60" version for our space, but it is just right for our setup and I enjoy it. We picked this version, not only because of the features, but because it had the "edges" required to install it with the engineered stone/composite enclosure panels we used. The tub and surround are super easy to keep clean.

Good luck with your remodel!
