Who got what rates by checking on/b4 12/19 this year?

Remember my on again off again friend's trip? Well it's on again and she did book the WL standard room, but now the whirlwind of trying to get the best rate. They will arrive 12/19/03 (value) and will stay 7 nights. Should she get 1 AP for a better rate, or is Christmas generally blocked out for a good rate/code? I know the mousesavers codes usually don't come out 'till Aug or so (?) and she is tring to figure best strategy. I'm just happy she got the resort!

She does not have to have the AP in hand to make the AP reservation. I would wait and see if the AP rate is avaiable and that much better then a general code rate to warrent buying the AP. Of course if she is planning on taking more then one trip during a 12 month time frame then go ahead and buy the AP.

I would use this year's rates as guide as to what you can expect for next year.

Is she a Disney Club member? DC club rates are out for all of 2003. She could book at that rate, and wait to see if AP rates or codes come out later.

If she wants to join DC, she needs to do so by December 12.

Thanks guys....no she is not a DC member, and after she checked into it a bit more decided to do exactly as Tiffant suggests, try and get the AP rate and then buy the pass. She is amazed by the "whole new world of inside info" available here! You guys are the best.
