We'll be there from the 19th of December to the 4th of January!!

Our group will be me, DH, (and as of 12/23) DB, DSIL, DNiece and DNephew.

My group- other than me and DH; will be arriving on December 23 and leaving on January 3.

WOO HOO !!!!

We will be at OKW December19th -January 3rd. Safe travels to everyone. Hope to meet some of you at the 26th DIS meet! Thanks Zurgswife for Making all the plans!

We will laying our heads on a Dolphin pillow on the 20th and then moving to Boardwalk Villas on the 21st until the 26th!! Not sure what I've gotten myself into as we've never done WDW during a heavy holiday. I sure hope it's spectacular as my husband may divorce me if it doesn't live up to all the buzz.

BTW, is anyone feeling a little chaotic trying to organize this trip while continuing with all the other holiday hoopla going on...work, kid's programs, church holiday events, etc? I almost feel like I need to pull a few all nighters just to keep up with this frenzy. I at least packed the "toiletry" bag this weekend with all our shampoos, toothbrushes (spares), medications, etc. Oh..and we're trying to keep this a secret from our kids until the day we depart.

VickiVM-Hello fellow Texan. I do feel the pressure. I am so concentrated on planning for the trip, that I haven't put up lights or anything. i too am trying to keep this a secret from the kids until the day we leave. Don't do the all nighters as that will make you even more tired when your trip comes. Try and take it all in stride. Take deep breaths. Plus be thankful, you've packed way more than I have :o

Hi, my new DW and I will be there on 12/22 and staying until 1/3.:bounce:
I would like to meet some DISers and would be willing to meet on the 26th. That way my wife will find out what I have been doing for the past month or so late night ie., reading all the interesting and informative posts, buying Lime Green Lanyards, etc.
I've been keeping our first visit to WDW for Christmas a secret until the last minute. So this Board has been a REAL help!!

Thanks to all and
Happy Holidays!!

Happy Holidays to All and we will also be enjoying Mickey on Christmas 12/25 - 12/28. This is our 2nd Xmas at WDW - I LOVE it there this time of year, crowds and all!

minnmick77,
Have you seen this information on a Dis Meet on Dec. 26th? We won't be there (we are leaving on the 25th), but you may want to plan for this:

VickiVM,
I too am feeling a bit overwhelmed with the upcoming trip (our first to WDW at Christmas time) and all the other things going on in our lives. Actually, I have decided to bow out of some activities we usually join in because if I go into 'overload' I get cranky---and well, that really takes away from what I am hoping to accomplish with this trip (wonderful family memories).

Now that it is actually DECEMBER, it is feeling even closer. Up until today I would say 'next month' we are going to WDW. Now it is in 3 weeks! We are also keeping it a surprise from the kids, which is proving to be more difficult than we thought (as invitations to join in things the week of the holidays begin to come up and we have to come up with excuses to the girls as to why we can't go to them).

I really hope this is all worth it too. This may be our first and LAST trip during the holidays. Next year, we are going on the Disney Cruise from Dec. 19-23, but I don't think we will stop at WDW afterwards (that way we can be home for Christmas Eve).

Just remember, a month from today is our last holiday (New Years) for awhile. Things will calm down a lot after that! :sunny:

Another Texan under stress here! I'm not sure I'll ever plan another trip at such a busy time of year again! LOL We have so much going on in the next three weeks...choir concerts, dance performances, practices...I don't have enough free time to focus on my trip. Did I mention I have final exams next week?

I have started my packing list and am feeling a little overwhelmed by the amount of stuff we have to bring for all the weather possibilities. Oh well, I know it will all be worthwhile once we get there! ::MinnieMo

Maybe this thread will turn into the "Dis Members Under Stress Planning a trip for Christmas week!" :hyper:

We will be there Dec.18th-26th. Fourth Christmas at the world. All the major stuff is planned and anything else is just icing on the cake.

No worries here, this time of year it's just too hard to go commando.***Although we did do 4 parks on Christmas day last year LOL!

To all you Texans, all the stress will be worth it::yes::

Maybe it is just a matter of 'experience'. Maybe if we survive this Christmas we will find that it was SO much fun that it was all worth it! :p

Perhaps, next time I can come up with a better plan to organize December better. Actually, if we were not trying to surprise the kids, it would help. I hate telling little fibs to them when they ask if they can do things the week of Christmas. That is part of my stress.

I have to confess, one reason I don't want to tell them (and just surprise them) is that I don't want them going around telling their friends we are going to WDW for Christmas. This will be our 3rd trip this year, and everyone already thinks we are crazy! This way, we can quietly take off, and just tell our neighbors we are going to visit family for the holidays (which is partly true, we are stopping at inlaws on our way to WDW).

I haven't had to tell my kids a single fib. They are still talking about Christmas presents and when am I going to decorate the house. They have no idea!!!

We'll be there Dec 16th - 20th

I don't think I could survive the 24th and 25th although someday I would like to try.

Can totally relate!! It will be the 4th trip this year with one Disneyland trip thrown in as well. My kids(12,15,17) are actually tired of explaining that we do more than just ride rides at WDW.:D

My hubby decided :chat: last Thursday that he wanted to spend Christmas at Disney!

I was able to book our timeshare for 12/21 - 12/28 in a two bedroom at the last minute! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:
