We booked our room at BC through Disney back in January. Just called 2 weeks ago to give them our flight info for ME. I will purchase park tickets from Disney when we get a little closer to our departure at the end of September. I've read a lot of posts about people receiving ME luggage tags, other luggage tags, lanyards, room key holders, coupons for lanyards & room key holders, plastic travel paper folders, etc. What can I expect to receive besides our yellow ME tags, anything? Also, this is our first time staying in a Disney resort in a LONG (15 yrs) time - it sounds like everything is done through your room key now (room access, tickets, charging). So do those of you with lots of Disney experience prefer to have a lanyard with a plastic holder for your room key or a fanny pack, or something else? What works best for you?? TIA!!

we booked thru a TA and have already received our luggage tags, plastic folder w/all our confirms in it, our ME lugage tags, a voucher for pin/lanyard and i think that's it, for our trip in two weeks... although we've got a package, i would expect that you'd get all the same components, except for perhaps the pin/lanyard since you are room only...

as far as how to carry your room key once you're on site... well, it depends on the person... after reading a lot here about fanny packs, i ran out and bought one... hated it! LOL! i then opted for cargo shorts w/a pocket that buttons and for me it's perfect! i am in charge of the family's tix/keys and keep those in one pocket... i keep a few bucks in another... sunblock wipes in a third pocket... and sometimes a map of the park in my back pocket... there's little else i need to carry and found that i was weighing myself down w/bags full of stuff if i tried to only take a few things as i could not decide what to take or leave in the room so now i leave it all! (and dh is in charge of the camera) oh, and sometimes i will carry a tote bag that goes over my shoulder and rests on my hip when i want to carry autograph books and pressed penny book...

you generally only get the "luggage tag" if you book a package through disney (ie - room and park tickets)

In my experiences, when I've booked room only there were no perks involved (luggage tags, lanyards, etc.).

Now as far as how to carry your essentials around, I'm a pin trader so I have a lanyard to do this. I also have a fanny pack with a few compartments that I use. I usually carry it like a pocketbook (over my shoulder). The lanyard, for me, can get a little heavy after a while with the pins on it, and I like to be able to take it off and put it in the fanny pack.

We got ours yesterday, leave 9/15.

for your cardkey, etc.........I recommend going to walmart in the jewelry section and getting their 99 cent lanyard/ID holder. It works great for everyone. The same thing cost about $4.00 in WDW.
