Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

January is a very nice time to go. We have gone many times then. We have even done all of the highlights (our favourites) of all four parks in one day! That is a fun way to spend a day.

How exciting about the proposal. Don't have that happen all the time!

We did four parks in one day this trip and even made it to Downtown Disneu for dinner!

We really enjoyed going when we could do that. Quite often we did that before a cruise.

Not too much new going on here.

The weather has been absolutely fantastic, couldn't ask for a better winter. Just keeping our fingers crossed that it stays okay until we get away on the 26th.

We seem to get enough snow to cover the ground and then it all melts away within a couple of days. That's plenty enough for me LOL.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Robin,
We've been having the same weather...I am glad for the warmer, but when it gets cold again its a killer. We've had no time to get use to it. Like Ann, and her freezing at 50 degrees. Your body gets use to the warmer :sunny:temps, makes it harder to handle the cold.:cold: Now if it would just stay warm for the rest of the year:wizard:

You must be looking forward to that cruise... I know I would be. How long of a cruise is it?...I'm sure you told me, but I don't remember
PD,
All four parks in one day AND DTD?... You guys must have been beat by the end of that day...... BUT a "happy" beat :thumbsup2.
I hope the girl who was proposed to said yes! What a great memory to start your life together on.

Speaking of making great memories....
I cant believe Ann is in England/Paris!.. I cant wait to hear about it, and see some pictures. I hope she took lots.

I would so love to see London/Paris when we go to Ireland. I don't think we would have enough time tho. I am still looking into it, but it seems like a lot of travel time even being as close to each other as they are . We will only have about 2 weeks. I bet it would make the trip a lot more costly too.:sad2:

Well not doing much today, just a bit of cleaning after the GGirls:cheer2: and some laundry:laundy:.
Have a great daypixiedust:

A picture that I submitted is up on the Weather network website. How cool is that!

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/CAON0133/f

Check it out. It is the one with the gazebo in it.

Robin!, Thats Great.:woohoo: Its a cool picture too with the frost just within the outline of the gazebo.:thumbsup2 Is that your back yard? Thats a lot of field in the background. Nice gazebo.

Another nice day today, not as warm as its been, but still in the low 40s.::yes::

Have a good evening.
TTFNpaw:

Yes that is our backyard. The part that is green belongs to us and the rest (basically the field) belongs to the farmer. Yes there is a lot of field. We are surrounded by fields on all sides. Back to the left, out of sight of this picture but halfway down the field is a small parcel of bush land. I will have to go out and take some more pictures to show you our view.

We are really enjoying that gazebo. So nice to sit out there in the summer and enjoy the peacefullness. It is so quiet out here at times that I can't believe it.

It was nice and sunny here today too but not near as warm as it has been. I don't think we even hit 35 today.

Happy "6" day!...Its six months and 6 days until the cruise!:cool1::woohoo:

Robin,
It looks nice and quiet there. I bet you get good sunrises/sets from your yard.
Any wildlife yet? Yes please take more pictures. I would love to see more of your new place!

Shopping today, and just to let you know winter came back last night,, it is 15 degrees right now...BUT they say we will be back up to 40 today  :thumbsup2

Enjoy the day TKers!

:woohoo:

The funny thing is that there seems to be a real lack of wildlife here. I think I saw more living in the city than I have since we have moved here. We don't even have any squirrels. Never thought I would miss squirrels LOL.

In the summer there were a ton of birds, not so many now. I have seen a raccoon, the neighbours dog, a skunk and a cat, oh and a chipmunk once a long time ago. I've heard there are coyotes around but have not seen nor heard any.

The thought of the coyotes is making us leery to let the cats outside but I'm not sure if come spring I am going to be able to make them stay inside. They've been okay with it so far which is good.

It is chilly today here too, at least it was when I walked to the mailbox. The sun is shining very brightly though, so that helps a lot.

It was sooo cold this morning and then turned into a beautiful day here....unfortunately I was inside my office all day!

Pictures of my new house and yard. It is extremely flat here, probably looks very strange to some of you. You can literally see for miles and miles and miles ...............and miles :rotfl2:

Nice house Robin,:thumbsup2
It looks like a good place to fly those planes of Ricks. Can you fly them where you live?
One of the things I like the most about living in the country is being able to see so many more stars at night, then in cities. You have such an open sky all around you. I bet the nights are beautiful, and full of stars.

I'm off to watch some TV:happytv:
Have a good weekend:wizard:

The stars here are absolutely amazing Betsy.

One thing that I do miss is trees. My yard in town had more tree coverage than this one does. It seems almost barren out here in comparison. I'd like to plant a few more trees but I'm not sure if I will live long enough to reap the benefits LOL.

As for the airplanes, yes he can fly them here. He has the permission from the farmers to fly over their fields. The only problem is that the plane he usually flys might be too big for the size of runway that he can build here. Just means that he might need to get a smaller scale plane to fly here and save the big one for the bigger airplane club field.

I see some trees in the pictures. They will grow faster then you think. for something even faster, willows grow very fast.
I will have to post a photo of a willow we planted.. I'm not sure what year it was, but it wasn't that long ago..it has gotten quite big already. The only thing about willows is you cant plant them too close to your pipes, because of the roots. They grow best in wet areas too, so I dont know if that would work for you or not.. On the boarder in the pics, are those arborvitae? They're good and grow pretty fast for evergreens.:thumbsup2
We didn't have luck with them here. The deer loved em, and left us little stubs.LOL

I bet it will be so cool for Rick to just walk out the door and be able to fly.:thumbsup2

Just waiting for the grandgirls...:rolleyes1
Have a good afternoon:wizard:

There are some trees on the property but I'm more used to large leafy shade trees. I'm not really fond of whatever it is that we have here mainly. Those always green kind that make good wind breaks but not good shade.

I have no idea what kind of trees those are Betsy. :confused3

The newish smaller trees along the driveway are some sort of Japanese or red maple trees. They look like they were planted not all that long ago.

I suppose the good part about it is that there are not a lot of leaves that end up on the ground and in the eavestroughs this way ;)

oh yeah, meant to mention that all that nice green grass that you can see in those pictures is now covered with snowdrifts:headache:

Not really deep snowdrifts but I prefer the way it looked in the pictures to the piles of snow :thumbsup2

Well we had snow yesterday...NOW...its sunny and almost 40 degrees F. It's so odd.:confused3

Working on my CD library ..Trying to convert everything to Mp3s..It's slow going...but it's going.:thumbsup2

Have a good day.:wizard:

That has been the way our whole winter has gone....... warm sunny, then cold snowy.....change that tomorrow to warm and sunny for a week or two and then repeat.

Strange but I'm not really complaining.

I'm just hoping the weather will hold in a nice pattern until we get off the ground next Sunday at noon:woohoo:

After that it can do whatever it likes for the next week:thumbsup2

8 days until we leave :dance3:

That is coming up fast, Robin! We leave for 8 days at WDW - Old Key West, 6 weeks from today!

We get Betsy's weather, a few hours after it passes by her!

Sounds like fun Marylou. We are hoping to build some park time into our Disney cruise time in August.

This time we are leaving from Fort Lauderdale.

We get our weather a few hours after it passes by Kim in Chicago:thumbsup2 So I know who to blame or give thanks to :rotfl:
