Morning Ann. Have fun at one of your favourite "happy places"

We are going on the Magic. 7 day Western Caribbean, I think it has the same itinerary of the one the we went on with you and Tom.

We are taking my mom along with us. We promised her we would do a vacation this fall. This is a bit past fall but she loves to cruise, so she is looking forward to it. It was actually Rick's idea if you can imagine that

We are definitely going to be deserving this vacation once we get thru all of this medical stuff.

It should be nice because the ship will be all decorated for Christmas.

As for the Dream....... you can be sure that we will find our way onto that ship too It just seems that the prices are so high compared to what the cruises on the Wonder and Magic are costing

I have an appointment at the cancer clinic next Tuesday to see if follow up treatment (radiation etc) will be needed but my surgeon seems to think it won't be necessary. So I'm going to hold her to that

Sorry - I've been on the laptop (no wifi at home) getting it ready for the trip and cooking like they are going to stop making food!

Andy, thanks to our Governor I had a job interview today. Gov Christie cut so much from our schools my new job went bye bye. Todays interview was for part time work but anything to keep the income flowing works for me. Thankfully we have two incomes here and John is able to carry medical bennies for the two of us.

My kids have all tentatively booked on the same cruise that we are going on.

I sure hope we can all go. It's been a dream of mine for quite some time now to have the whole family go together on a cruise again.

I've been thinking about how to make that dream happen for quite some time now and maybe it will come true.

Cruise vacations are great because you can see as little or as much of fellow travellers as you want to.

As long as we can have dinners together, I'm just happy knowing that they are somewhere around the ship, having fun.

that was the only request I made of Britt and her bff when we sailed, to promise to be at dinner each night. We all had a great time.

Just a little update.

Yesterday I had an appointment at the cancer clinic.

The news was all very good.

The type of cancer that I have/had is extremely rare and occurs in about .1% of all cases

The fact that it was caught early and that the cells were dividing at an extremely slow rate means that I will not have to have any further treatments.

I have to have CT scans every 4 to 6 months for the next 5 years to keep an eye on things. If the cancer does not return in those 5 years the chances that it will ever return again are very very small.

So, I guess if I had to have cancer, I picked one of the "best" kinds to have.

Hi Threadkillers!

I hope everyone is having a nice day. Tom and I went to a place downtown called the Metro Diner - it was on the TV show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. What a fantastic place for breakfast! A little bit of a wait and worth every second!

Other than that - I've been doing laundry. We leave in two weeks!
