Well I happen to know that Ann has a TON of Diet Cola in her house ;) She should be able to keep that habit going for quite some time.

Maybe you can get your dad or Dean to do the McDonald's run for you every morning:thumbsup2

Ann, that all sounds really horrible but I'm so glad that it happened the week after the cruise.

So far Rick and I have no problems and hopefully it stays that way. We did share a lot of germs with all the food "tasting" that was going on amongst us.

So....if you don't hear from me - no worries!
Of course we worry! We miss you too, but I'm glad you posted to keep us posted. ;)

Aw Robin, 2 hours at O'Hare I coulda done, IF you had been here that long - so close! :headache:

Even tho Kelly isn't 100%, she went to school today, but I said "rest tonight - no band". Instead, her skates came in for fitting, so I dragged her out tonight for that. If nothing else, she is so ecstatic to have new skates, maybe she'll feel better now! That's one expensive Rx! :scared:

We're expecting some Mean Snow the next day, day & a 1/2! :scared1: Shovelers wanted! :thumbsup2

 All! :grouphug:

Yeah and thanks for sending it on our way when you are done with it Kim:rotfl2:

Actually we've been pretty lucky so far this winter. It's been quite cold at times but we've not had a lot of snow yet.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful. Sunshine and fairly mild temperatures. It was great because I had a lot of running around, in and out to do. Makes it much more pleasant that way.

That's how 'they' suck you in, Robin! One day beautiful and sunshine (same here) - later, or next day - Socko!!! Snow City! :cold:

BTW, the winds were blowing FROM the North in these parts! I know you're mostly NE from me but, it's still from the North, for now. Supposed to turn all from the East (the Lake) on Wed. Lake effect snow is Nasty! :cold:

Kelly is praying for a snow day Wed and No School!! I have to agree with her on this, she needs a break. :guilty:

Ann? How ya doin? :grouphug:

 Hello all, crazy days here again.

Rick's mom is in the hospital right now with a swallowing/choking problem. It's something she's had for a lot of years but she had an episode on Monday and that is where she ended up.

She seems to be getting better.

I went to the doctor on Tuesday for the results of that scope I had done before Christmas.

The biopsies showed nothing but the lump is still very much there and the doctor thinks it should be removed and tested.

Unfortunately that means an abdominal incision and a five day hospital stay :scared1: Also a 6 week recovery period.

I asked her how quickly she felt it needed to be done and she said within the next few months. So I opted to wait until mid June. I want to finish out my dance season and be able to take part in the recital.

That mass has been there at least since June of 2008, so I'm thinking another month of two will not make a huge amount of difference.

This is something that I am so NOT looking forward to. What a waste of a good summer but now I have an excuse to sit out on the deck and read a book for 6 weeks :thumbsup2

Edited to Add: the lump is near the top of my stomach, not inside nor outside the stomach but in a lining or so the doctor tells me.

Ann, I just read on the Cruise boards that the Wonder cruise leaving today will be Pikey's last cruise:guilty:

He was a ton of fun and I enjoyed having him on our cruise with us.

I read that he and his wife have bought a house "back home".

Maybe they are both getting out of cruising?

Robin~ you be sure to take care of yourself!!!! I'm with you on the timing...excellent reason to sit around and enjoy the summer!

That's similar to a C-section (time-wise)! :scared: Don't be overdoing now before June, Robin! (Mid-June, I'll be in WDW!)

Robin - OMG! I know you told me there was a possibility....I hope the surgery goes well and your recovery is easy! Keep us posted, please!

Just a quick check in. Getting better - very slowly. Tom and I are still on strict bed rest through tomorrow. However, he's getting around pretty good and he's bored. I'm still good for sleeping a good portion of the day.... we both hope to be back on our feet next week!

Missing you...

Hello everyone:wave:
I am just checking in :3dglasses.
I have been getting on now and then to read ...:surfweb:

I am sending prayers to you all for swift recoveries.

Ann, and Tom,
I hope you are much better, when you read this:flower3:

Robin,
Set your new deck up in June with a nice lounge, and a few good books ( better yet a laptop so you can dis::yes::)..a little table with a nice big pitcher of lemonade;)
and you'll be all tanned and back to health before you know it!:thumbsup2

I have been pretty busy, between Birthdays:
My DS and the twins birthday was yesterday, and My DGS David's birthday is Sunday!:cake:....
Extra stuff for work:
I am setting up a promo ad spot for Southtown at our local movie theatre. It will run before the nightly movie.
House work :
We have been refinishing our bathroom. new flooring and wainscotting. Its starting to look pretty nice..We still need to put in the ceiling, and spackle / paint the upper part of the walls...I am also going to tile around the tub/shower, but that will have to be a future project.
Gotta save some money for our March trip! :teeth:

Well back to the house work:teleport:
Have a great day TKerspixiedust:

Ann, remember what I told you.

I don't worry about the things that I can't change, so I'm not going to let it get to me.

I hope that you and Tom are feeling much better by now.

Betsy, sounds like you are a busy lady these days :thumbsup2

I know, I know....I'm VERY good at worrying!

Tom and I are slowly getting on our feet. I tried to get off the cough medicine today - no luck. I'm still coughing and have NO voice. My sister says I need to see how the rest of the weekend goes and consider going back to the doctors....we'll see. I'm also very tired. I get up, have something to eat and I'm exhausted. It's been a real tough two weeks. Tom, fortunately is faring better. He's not coughing hardly at all and is able to be up and about (house only) for longer periods of time. Good news?...I've lost 14 pounds now!

Go back if need be! There are so many 'other' things going around this time of year, it's unbelievable! I had an asthmatic cough a couple weeks ago. Was given steroids, antibiotics, 2 inhalers and a cough pill. I'm still coughing. Kelly is still coughing. My nephew just had pnuemonia. I'm thinking Kelly MAY have walking pnuemonia. :confused3 I think we've all innoculated ourselves against the flu and H1N1 that we're getting OTHER respiratory ailments instead! :headache: Feel better soon, Ann!
