Morning all.
Some of the issues of last week seem to be (hopefully) resolved.
We had a machine down and our usual genius repairman could not figure out the problem. And I'm being honest when I call this guy a genius, one of those scary super smart type of people.
Yesterday Rick and another friend of ours (who skipped out of work and graciously came over to help out, we owe him big time now) managed to get the machine back working again.
Of course it was the machine that makes the bulk of the money for us and things were very stressful for abit, but now hopefully Rick will be able to go away on vacation and actually enjoy it.
Now they have to work all weekend to make up for the time that the machine was down.
Still some other issues going on but they are slowly getting themselves worked out. Not issues with us but with my mom that require someone to step in and help straighten them out for her. So Rick has been dealing with the stress of all that too.
Poor guy
We are planning on going to a friend's tonight for the annual Chili competition. Not that I really care if we go but Rick seems to want to go. It is outside of town so involves a bit of a drive.
I have "made" my chili. I always thought some year I'd just go to Wendy's a buy chili and throw it in the crockpot and see how it goes over

But I did something similar, I opened four different brands of cans of chili and threw them all together in the pot
Hey, I'm all about easy and I don't really care about winning. We did win the very first ever annual Chili competition though
So, there you have the sad saga of my life

I'm off to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Liz is home this weekend and there is nothing in the fridge except cheese and eggs. Looks like WE are the struggling students, not her
