Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Happy Anniversary Mike & Betsy!

Robin - you are SO good and remembering & writing that sort of stuff down!

DU - glad you found PD. I guess that makes you one of our threadkiller gumshoes. I believe Betsy is still head gumshoe (from a LONG time ago).

I hope ya'll are having a great day!

:lmao:That's funny Ann. I just happened to look at my calendar at the right time.

Just got lucky:thumbsup2

Okay I went to the dr this morning for the results of my kidney tests.

He says that I have 3 smallish kidney stones in the bottom of my left kidney. They may move someday or they may just stay there forever because they have to go up first in order to get to the tube to get out.

Also I have cysts on my kidneys which he equated to having grey hair. It's just something that happens as we age.

My bladder is normal, no cancer cells in the sample he sent away.

So, that part is good.

Then he reads the rest of the CT scan report and says to me.... you have a calcification in your left lung. It is still the same size that it was in 2008. WHAT????? Nobody told me I had a calcification in 2008 in my lung :scared1:

Next he tells me that I have a small fleshy mass of some sort in my stomach near where the esophagus empties into the stomach. It is also similiar in size to what it was in 2008.

Again :scared1: WHAT???? Was never told about that either:headache:

Interesting:rolleyes:

He suggests that I go to my family doctor and follow up on those findings.

Now who was supposed to be the one to tell me about those things last year

Whatever, I suppose the good news is that they have not changed in size in a year;)

A bit about our Florida vacation.

We arrived on Saturday morning and spent the afternoon shopping at the Florida Mall and then to Downtown Disney.

Before we left home, Liz was telling me how she had a cold at camp and thought she felt like she was going to have bronchitis because of it. She has been coughing off and on all day.

Sunday morning we get up to head to the parks. Liz starts to coughing and then she can't breath:scared1: She was gasping for breath. She used her puffer but it wasn't helping much. She actually took 10 puffs which is a lot to take at one time.

After thinking about it for a few minutes, I decided to drive her to the ER at the Celebration Hospital which was 5 minutes away.

So, I did something different this vacation...... saw the inside of a Florida hospital for the first time ;)

They did some blood work, chest xrays, gave her iv fluids, strong meds for the migraine that she happened to have also and something for the fever that she had.

I think they thought she had swine flu, although she told them when she went in that she thought she had bronchitis. We were actually more worried about the not being able to breathe part of the equation.

Eventually they decided she did not have swine flu and did in fact have bronchitis. Prescriptions for antibiotics and prednisone to help her lungs and we were out of there.

Not a very good beginning to our first whole day in Florida.

Because of the illness, she tired very easily and we had to take things slowly.

We had planned on using 5 days of park hopper passes that we had left but ended up using only 3.

I will do up a more detailed report with some pictures later.

Wow! :scared1: Robin! :scared1: You've had enough health issues for the year. I hope all your "2008 same-size stuff" turn out to be nothing. Sounds yucky and I hope it goes away!

I hope Liz feels better. It's scary when you can't breath and I hope the hospital took good care of her.

Take care and I can't wait to see the pics.

Actually the hospital was great. Except for the triage nurse. She was to say the least a witch with a capital B:mad:

After we got past her everyone else was wonderful.

The billing office was great too.

We had purchased out of country insurance coverage and the billing office lady was extremely supportive and helpful in getting everything in order.

Overall the hospital experience was not too bad. Although I really think they need a different triage nurse.

She didn't make a very good first impression for the hospital.:sad2:

Quiet, QUIET Threadkiller thread.....

I hope everyone is having a great day. I spoke with my sister and we're headed to Disney on Sunday - just for the day.

Take care!

 SA

Ann, enjoy your day at Disney.

It will be hot, busy and crazy.

I hope there are not so many Brazilian and Argentinian tour groups as there were when we were there last week:eek:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 It was very hard to read the rest of your post & eat dinner at the same time.:lmao:

:sad2: How is she feeling now?

Sorry I ruined your dinner DU :guilty:

I have no idea how she is feeling now.

She has gone back to camp and I haven't heard from her since she arrived near to there on Sunday morning.

I'm gonna TRY and POST again! The past few nights, I can read but, when I try to post, the DIS is unavailable. :confused3 Very, VERY slow here. :rolleyes1

Anyway, Robin, I hope Liz is better! I had bronchitis and sinusitis before we left for Montana and, flying with that/those conditions don't HELP, so I know how miserable she must've felt! Hope YOU are better too! :thumbsup2

Ann, you lucky duck! :yay: Have fun! Which sister?

Anyone here know how to retrieve ADR numbers? :confused3 I made some on my own and didn't write down ALL the numbers, because I WAS getting email conf's, but the last few I made, and got a number for, that I didn't write down, I didn't get emails for. :confused3

 to ALL!! I know I missed most of you but, it's Wed already and I'm expecting Matt home soon and have to get up at 7:30 to take Kelly and my DN to Vacation Bible School (VBS).

Personal update: I went to the Billy Joel/Elton John concert Thursday at Wrigley Field! and used Matt's digital camera! First time for me! I POSTED the pics on Facebook! AND, I have since bought a Canon PowerShot for MYSELF after the whole experience, with help from Matt, and I'll have it for my Oct. Disney trip! :yay: NEVER saw a need for a digital camera expense, until NOW!! LOL

:grouphug: to ALL!!

Enjoy your new camera Kim.

I've had a digital camera for years.

It really changes the way you take pictures.

You can take as many as you like and just delete those that you don't.

It gives you a real chance to experiment with thing if you like to do that sort of thing.

Hello TKers:wave2:

Well I have been enjoing my new job...But Im still really busy..Ive been filling in for the other receptionists a few of my days off...So sorry I havent been on...:faint:

THANK YOU all for the Ann. wishes :grouphug:...During the day we had the girls so didnt do much then but, We went out to dinner that night..It was not the best meal, So a little disappointing..Oh well we had a nice night together anyway..

Robin,
Im soo sorry Liz wasnt feeling well on your trip...I hope she is doing better now..pixiedust:

Ann,:thumbsup2
You are so lucky to be able to just pop over to WDW for the day...I have been having Disney withdrawal a lot lately ..especially since we keep getting postcards with GREAT deals..Its so hard to not be able to take advantage of them...:guilty:

BUT...Not too much longer for our Maui trip...:goodvibes
You wont believe it..but NW canceled, the Maui flight part of our trip..So we had to rebook..and had to pay an extra 148.00 to boot!..I wasnt happy:confused:...THEN we get the new flights (United)..and the seats they have for us are rotten..I wouldnt care about the short flights within the Mainland, but the flight from SFO to Maui had us seated in the middle of the middle row of seats, in the back...So we paid another 128.00 just to get the "economy Plus" so we could get window seats towards the front...
So I guess the extra days Im working will pay off...We are still not sure how/what we will be eating while there:confused3...LOL...BUT we will BE there..and thats what counts...;)

Kim,
Im gonna try to go to facebook and find you pics...THAT is a concert Id of loved to have seen!

TTFNpaw: My friends...

From what I read Betsy, Maui will have all kinds of walk up restaurants along the beach, rule of thumb-ask the locals where they would go :)
