Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Yes!... It would be awesome if you could make it!:cool1:

Hi everyone:wave2:
This coming weekend Mike and I will be celebrating our 38th Anniversary!
Its really not until the 19th, but Mike has to work, so he took Monday off and we are going to spend the weekend together just the two of us...
We cant go anywhere, because we are going to WDW in a month, and cant afford anything else right now, but it will be enough to just hang out together for the weekend with no other commitments!:thumbsup2

TTFNpaw:

Happy almost Anniversary!:goodvibes Sometimes just the simple things are the best. My DH and I spent Sunday taking a drive through the Catskills. It was just a local drive stopping at shops and stuff, walking around the resevoir. It was an excellent day!

Thanks PD!
I am hoping for nice weather... We are thinking about a picinc at Sal Springs State Park one day this weekend.:goodvibes
Going to one of my favorite restaurants on Tuesday(our actual Anniversary).:cool1:

Thanks Cally!
It has been so nice out! Hot and sunny, just how I like it. We went to an open air flea mkt. this morning! Wow what a lot of junk!... Some cool things too. I found a beautiful Wedgwood veggie bowl with cover. She wanted $10, but took $8. I think its worth a lot more then $10! It doesnt really matter though, I want it to use! I love old dishware.

Well Im off to enjoy the rest of the day!
I hope you are all enjoying it too!

Oh and if you hadn't already, Id love to have you read my article on "Millivers Travels". Its about Disney.

Hey everyone!!!

I booked PORFQ today! They offered the DDP but I'm so on the fence about it. I know everyone saids it is such a great value but I'm still not convinced. :confused3

I also bought MVMCP tix  Can't wait!!!

I think the only thing that is left is to book the hotel at Port Canaveral for the night before embarkation. Is that how you say it? "embarkation" :lmao:

Oh yea and I need to figure out how I'm going to pay for all this. :rolleyes1
:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

heading off to read your article Betsy....

Besty, That was a great article. Made me remember when I was a little girl and all the things I loved and still love about Disney movies. And then discovering WDW for the first time and experiencing it with my children. :thumbsup2

Just remembering that feeling I had when I saw Cinderella's castle for the first time and remembering how it looked exactly the same as in the movie. :goodvibes

ahhhhh...

Good article :thumbsup2

Hot, hot, hot........ that is what it is around here:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping cool.

Robin, I've been indoors working all day. :confused3 I really can't wait for a vacation. :3dglasses

I'm going... :scared1::scared1::scared1::sick:

Thanks again Cally!
It was a lot of fun to write about Disney.. Ill will be writing for MilliversTravels for quite awhile. I will be writing a series of Disney articles, then She asked me to write about my other trips... So Keep checking in, and if you would like to comment, please do. This is how she sees how many people go to read them, and how they like what they are reading!

Its our 38th Anniversary today!:cool1:

Well Mike had to work today, but we have a res. for a nice restaurant for this evening. Its the kind of place thats really nice, but a bit too expensive to go to unless its a special occasion!:cloud9:

Friday evening when Mike was on his way home his truck broke down. So we ended up spending Mike's day off looking at used cars. I was so surprised how many good deals were available on the lots. We ended up buying a 2005 Toyota Highlander. Only our second non American car... ever. The truck was just such a gas guzzler. We needed something that still had 4WD, but good MPG. and room for at least 6. It will hold 7!:woohoo: We pick it up tonight before we go to dinner...:cheer2:... Sooooo Happy Anniversary to us!!!!! :yay: I took pictures of it... but I need to upload them ... Ill post them asap.

It is going to be another hot day(90s) :sunny: BUT we got a huge rain storm last night so hopefully the grass will have gotten a good enough drink to last a bit longer.

I'm off to go soak in the sun before it gets too hot to be out....:goodvibes

TTFNpaw:

Betsy and Mike I hope that you had a nice anniversary and a lovely dinner out.

New (or new to you) vehicles are always exciting. Enjoy.

It's been very hot here too and we got rain last night too.

Cally, yes, embarkation is the correct term for the day that you get on the ship:thumbsup2

I'm sure you must be getting so excited about it. Cruises are a great deal of fun. :boat:

The weather here is crazy right now. Very very hot. High of 104 tomorrow with the humidity it will feel like 120.

Not that I am complaining because I do like the warmth:thumbsup2

We have 3 different groups of people coming through our house today. The first came thru around 10am. The next is due sometime in the next half hour or so and one later on tonight. I'm not sure why the sudden influx but heck, if I have to clean for one group, they might as well send over 20 and make good use of my clean house :lmao:

:confused3:confused3Ya know I could have sworn I posted on this the other day?????:confused3:confused3
Well What Im sure I said was... THANK YOU for the Anniversary wishes.
We had a nice dinner....and got to go to the restaurant, right after picking up our new car.. so that was cool!
I am really liking the car... its the perfect height. Mike's truck was way too high, and very hard to get into, and out of, as it had no running boards...and the little Grand-Am that we picked up when the van died, was a lot lower.. So I felt like I was getting up off the ground every time I got out of the car.
The Highlander is just right!:goodvibes It also has a moon roof. Something I never had and always wanted, although I have found we tend to not use it on the sunny days. It gets the car way too hot if we do. Its nice for night driving tho!:)
Well I off to research vacation places. In two years its our 40th...and we have decided we want to go some place... but not sure where.:scratchin
Where would you go? Just looking for ideas.

TTFNpaw:

Gosh Betsy, I wouldn't have a clue as to where to suggest for a fancy trip.

Usually we just pick a cruise ;) To us it is the perfect vacation.... no planning, no major decisions to make.... just go and enjoy!

Nice to hear that you are enjoying your new car. What colour is it?

hmmmm, now how did I get all those exclamation points at the top of my last post :confused3

Bet I couldn't do that again if I tried :lmao:

Wow it happened again!.. I wrote a post and hit send and it disappeared!????

My car is Grey/blue Robin!
Not my favorite color, but better then black or white.

The thing with cruise's is, the don't stay in one place long enough for me. I like to explore the places we visit, and the ship is always leaving to soon, off to the next port. Now if there were a cruise that stayed in one port for a few days before moving on.. I'd consider it.:thumbsup2

Well it has been pretty cloudy the last couple of days...I don't really mind though as we have had such great weather lately.

I am also getting very excited that our WDW trip is only a couple of weeks away! I got my tags and things in the mail last week.:goodvibes

Have a great day TKers...and lurkers alike!pirate:

TTFNpaw:

Two of my daughters and I are going to go to Disney on August 30th. My Magical Express stuff came in the mail today! :goodvibes

:woohoo:for everyone who has a vacation coming up soon.

I have a vacation almost every day....... I get to go to my "country estate" :rotfl2: It is extremely peaceful and quiet there most of the time and I love sitting out in the gazebo

We have had a ton of hot, hot weather this July. Very hot and little rain, which is good when you have a couple of leaky roofs to deal with. But there will soon be new roofs on two houses and hopefully no more leaks to worry about.

We had a major thunderstorm about 5am this morning, lots of loud thunder and very bright lightening. It woke me up.

Add me to the 'trip coming up soon' list! :cool1: I also got my ME and package info a couple weeks ago. Nice new luggage tags. Might cause a seisure tho, if you're eyeballs don't like that kinda stuff. :rotfl:

Kelly will be coming home late Sat. night. The days passed slowly, but all in all, the week went by pretty fast. ;) She'll be busy painting her 'new' room when she gets back. Matt will be officially 'moved out' on Sunday. Bittersweet. :sad1:

Hope all the TKs are well! :goodvibes
