I never stopped collecting unemployment because my job was not permanent, nor was it full time. What the temp job did was allow me to keep my unemployment "bank" from emptying. Once the amount the state alots for me is gone, it's gone.

I am having James & Makie this weekend. Sooooo gonna go to their house , give Makies room a TinkerBell makeover then take them back here.

Hi Threadkillers!

I had a wonderful time with Mary yesterday. We had a 3 hour lunch. Then last night the three sisters chatted for a couple of hours and laughed and laughed!

Today, Hollydog is in getting her teeth cleaned and about 8 moles removed. They shaved the areas and she looks like a furry patch-work quilt! Anyway, we can pick her up in about 30 minutes. (TW - How's Penny?)

My mother has pneumonia (whenever she gets a cold it ALWAYS turns to pneumonia - so the docs keep a real close watch on her) and they were headed to Vegas Tuesday. So....they postponed their trip. When we pick up Holly, we're going to take her to see her "Grandma" for just a bit. Grandma loves that dog and I know it will cheer her up....especially that there is someone more pathetic than her

Anyway, I hope you're having a great morning and have a great weekend! Ya'll stay warm. It's cold here in Florida, too. Right now it's only 45! OIY!

Poor Holly~ good thing she could probably care less about the patchwork haircut. Penny looks a ton better today, thank you. She is getting around really well. Still cant jump, she is trying to run and when she is not sleeping she is trying to wrestle with me.

I am glad you get the kids this weekend DU. They are such a welcome source of light for you

Enjoy your visit with Mom Ann and say Hi to the sisters for me please~

Unemployment was extended another 7 weeks after that too but after being off for almost 16 months, I need to help keep that money flowing any way I can

Hey Everyone!

Holly looks so pathetic and adorable....you know what I mean? We only stayed with DM for 5 minutes are so - we didn't want to wear her out and needed to get the dog home. She's been sleeping ever since.

TW - I hope the money flow reverses course and heads your way.

This board sure has been quiet! I hope everyone is having a good day today. Robin, I wish I was up last night to chat with you - I was sound asleep!

Holly is doing better today - she's hungry! Her little mole sites are swollen, but that's to be expected. She slept all day yesterday. I took two pictures of her yesterday because she was so adorably pathetic. I may post them later....let me know if you'd rather not see them.

Well, DH is shooting, DM is resting and I think I may go to McDonalds, have a soda and read til my eye balls fall out!

My temp job " released " me yesterday, honestly I was relieved cause they called while John and I were discussing who was gonna babysit penny today. John is off on Friday so that was already covered.

My DBIL and sis came over last night for a while. John made mussels for everybody (they like em, I don't :blech: ) Penny and I crashed as soon as they left~ It's like having a newborn, I make a point to sleep whenever she does otherwise I would be more exhausted than I already am~

Thanx Lori...yeah, I kinda see it as a good thing. My days are freed up again and unemployment insurance pays the same as what I made at Canon minus all the frustration of working with a bunch of nimrods

Hi Tkers! Hope Penny and Holly are doing well today. I am sick. Yuk! Horrible headcold and sore throat congestion etc. I hate this. I am never sick!

I'm gonna brag now. My daughter got a full tuition scholarship to one of the schools she applied to. She has been named a "Presidential Scholar" and asked to be in the college's honors program. It is one of her top 2 choices for college, so we are very happy around here.

Penny is already spoiled I've always prided myself on spoiling my children,
as long as I can stop it just short of rotten

Rose and I are setting up our 2 weeks in NC. She booked a house for the first two weeks of september. The house she booked is right on the beach It's the first house she's booked twice. Rose *NEVER* booked the same house twice in the 20 some years she's been going to NC. I am really happy cause this is the one where I can literally see the sun rise over the ocean from my bed every morning~Looks like Lori (SA) and her girls are joining us for a week as well~
