Yes it is...and honestly hon, with obvious exception to the folks here on the threadkillers, people can be rude, judgemental, condescending, extremely self centered and nosey. It's usually the ones with nothing better to do than pay attention to other's lives cause they don't have enough of one of their own.

BTW this week is a

Just finished HELL week at work....was a complete nightmare. The painters are coming Friday to paint all downstairs and the hallway....I must find somewhere to put all the furniture and move it there, take all the window binds, etc down, and hide old people....etc. ...OH yeah its suppose to rain too.
Then once the paint drys put EVERYTHING back because Saturday 20 people will be here for Makenzies 2nd Birthday.

I have been busy baking for the holidays..and freezing it...I baked two banana cakes today.
and I made a pineapple upside down cake a few days ago that was awsome.

We have a good portion of our Christmas shopping done, but Im a little behind on the Thanksgiving planning...

Wow it sounds like you are crazy busy! Your baking sounds so tasty. I've always wanted to try Pineapple upside down cake. There are so many talented cooks on this thread! I hope you actually have some time to relax and enjoy the holidays

I do make one heck of a Peach Upside down cake (the ONLY thing I can bake) real simple to...Box of Yellow cake mix, Vanilla instant pudding & sour cream.....mixed with eggs & water on top of liguid brown sugar with cling peaches......It's very heavy cake...I love it!

I took a driving trip to Houston Texas and back in 5 days.

That is a very long and pretty much boring trip.

5000 kilometers which translates into approximately 3,107 miles that we drove in those 5 days.

I've decided that most of the US looks pretty much the same......... looks just like Canada

The part of Alabama that we drove thru was very pretty though and Kentucky and Tennesse are always nice with the lovely hills.

One of the good parts of the trip was that I got to check off a few states from my list of states that I have not been in before!

Hope you've all been WELL...we have been - but crazy busy...St Francis 4th yr Varsity FB team MADE the playoffs...this after last year's 0-10 record - SOOOOO VERRRRRRY exciting - & pretty much finished with the college app process - we did 7 apps - 3 private & 4 state schools....he has been accepted to one so far...San Francisco State....so waiting to hear from the others.....
Of course, with the holidays coming up...we're staying busy with those plans AND awaiting our NYE Cruise which we leave on 12/26 for MCO.....life is GREAT!!!!

That is Brenda's son...but I totally agree that he is one handsome kid. I'm sure my 3 DDs will agree! I have all girls, but I can understand the confusion. My oldest DD is a senior and also doing the college application thing!

I had the honor of meeting Ryan with Brenda in a NYC airport. Can you say Uber-charming? Aisling's son is a quiet charming - I hafta literally force him to talk most times, Brenda's son has no issues striking up a good conversation - he's very smart and has good taste in ladies Did you all see the pirate costumes Ryan and his gf did? So cool

I hope you feel better Ann. You got me wanting cheescake again...

John is making thankgiving dinner this year. He's invited my friend Rose's family, my mom, his mom rolleyes: ) and my sister's family. Each are gonna help cook - all but my mom know this. John is gonna make an extra batch of stuffing and then ask my mom to throw it in her oven before she comes over. Rose is making cole slaw. My DBIL will probably make something for sis to bring over. I'm told DBIL might be able to go to the Eagles game that day so I have a feeling he won't be over for dinner.

I dream of having a double oven and a warmer in our kitchen one day~
