And my friends daughter shes 15 and doesn't get to go on trips like this. My friend and her 2 kids are meant to be coming but I think she is going to not turn up or let me down at the last minute.

Liz and I are planning a shopping trip across the border in Michigan today.
I'm not sure when we are leaving yet.
Received the sad news yesterday that my SIL was given a prediction of 2 to 6 months to live without treatment or up to a year with treatment.
Her cancer is back everywhere.
Apparently she feels okay now and I think she will probably opt for no or little treatment because it made her so sick last time.
She said, why spend my last bit of time laying on the sofa throwing up all day long
Also she lives alone now and it would be very hard to be sick and be alone.
I do think that she is going to try a couple of treatments (the doctor suggested it) to see if they make her so sick this time. If not then she might continue with them.
Such a sad thing but my mom says that she seems calm enough and has everything in order.
I can't imagine having to make the decision between being sick from the cancer or from the treatment 
What an awful situation. I'll be praying for your family and that your MIL has peace and no pain with whatever decision she chooses

off to check out Santa Clara Univ & San Jose State this week...then imagine DS & I will spend all of sat 11/01 applying for colleges....5 - maybe 6....then sunday DH & I leave for So. Cali / Palm Springs for a week where i get to spend Monday the 3rd at DL again while he golfs then it's over to Palm Springs & the morning after home from there - it's a wkend in Carmel

Definately. I thought, why spend 15 thousand dollars when i'm not sure what I want to do? I'm thinking of either studying film at USC or UCLA or animation at CalArts. I'm hoping to do the college program at WDW so I can take some time off and decide which direction to go in. Either way i'll be a poor art student
