I've been a busy bee today. I have a New York cheesecake in the oven for Thanksgiving (they freeze beautifully some say for a month [I'm 39 days to t'giving] some say up to 6-12 months. The heavier the cheesecake, the better it freezes. This is 3" high and weighs a TON!).

I'm also making chicken stock to freeze for Thanksgiving...because it tastes SO much better than store bought when you're using it in a recipe.

Tomorrow or Tuesday, I'll make another test batch of dinner rolls and make my final decision as to what type to make from 3 different ones.

Well, that's my day today and the next day or so. How 'bout ya'll? Hello to EVERYONE!

Hi everyone!

Well, it's UGLY, but here's the cheesecake I made. For some reason the cake cracked within the first 20 minutes of being in the oven....don't know why. I'll be making a topping for this one for sure! The good news is - it's a wicked awesome recipe - this baby is almost 4" high!

TLM - I feel like such a bad Disney girl - I didn't know they had a new Tinkerbell movie. I knew they had other fairies, but haven't been following it too closely.

I know you're not a cheesecake person. I make a ton of them because my family loves it. I like it well enough, but I can take it or leave it - I just like to MAKE them!

The day out was good.

We had a very nice dinner and then I played the slot machines for a bit.

I came out slightly ahead of what I put into it.

But it was a nice machine and let me keep playing for a very long time on my $20.00.

I just stopped because everybody else had all run out of money and were ready to leave

Good morning!

Window cleaners are coming today!!!! Gonna be nice to watch someone else do them. However, I KNOW the Folks will NEED to go in the rooms at the same time the cleaners will be doing the windows in THAT room!

BTW....My 'dear' sister invited 20 people here next Saturday for my Mom's Birthday! Keep in mind she wouldnt even THINK of even buying a bottle of soda. I found this out Saturday night, by accident.

My Uncle called & told me that there will be 8 of them coming on Saturday!!!!

Ya know I really do need to see HSM and get with the times. I'm going to be Wednesday Addams and my mom is Morticia Addams

I'll post a picture of us all made up tomorrow night. My mom has to work her sewing magic on my shirt but we're going to put everything on before the actual party just to make sure it's right. I'm really excited!

Morning all!

Birthday and anniversary wishes to all of you who are celebrating.

We have 2 birthdays in my family this week, so I'll be changing my siggie on both Wednesday and Friday to update kids ages!

DD(14) has another knee surgery scheduled for Wednesday! Poor kid. Both of her sisters get bithday celebrations and she gets surgery. Not fair. Her knee is still swelling when she runs or when she walks alot. Her MRIs and Xrays show that everything healed perfectly from her April meniscus repair. Her orthopedist sent her for lyme tests, arthitis tests and I can;t remember what all else. Everything came back negative, which is good, but the swelling is persistent. The doctor says he hates to make her go through another surgery, but she should not be having this swelling and pain. He is hoping it as simple as one of the fasteners has fallen off and is floating around causing pain and swelling when she moves too much, or perhaps an allergy to the material the fasteners are made of. As the meniscus has totally repaired, he will take the fasteners out regardless, as they are no longer needed. He let her finish out the soccer season (last gane this afternoon) and is getting the surgery done in time for her to play winter sports...I think she is going to do indoor track, rather than basketball.

Saturday and Sunday we are going to Syracuse for DD(16) ...I guess by then she will be DD(17)... for the state marching band competition at the Carrier Dome. We are getting a handicapped parking pass, because parking is sooooo far away and there is no way DD(14) wilol be able to make that walk.
