Who feels like a Threadkiller....Take 3!

Hi Threadkillers!

I've been VERY busy this weekend! The Bunco group I belong to has Bunco the 1st Tuesday of every month. Well, I'm the groups leader, so I always call the month's hostess to see if she has any questions or if there's anything I can do....well, she's sick as a DOG! So...guess what I'm doing?! Yep! Hosting Bunco with 2.5 days notice!

I've been cleaning like crazy today. Tomorrow, I'm making a Fresh Orange Cake with an Orange Buttercream frosting. The cake has orange, raisins, dates & pecans. It doesn't have ANY spices and tastes much like a cake would taste a century ago...it's really an amazing cake. One of my favorite cake recipes!

So - after sweeping & mopping, dusting & vaccuming and the bathrooms I made homemade ravioli today! It was stuffed with fresh mozarella, parmesan, proscuitto, sundried tomatoes & basil. The pasta was then served with a drizzle of olive oil, parmesan, pepper & basil. It was awesome! I made extra and froze them. I'll post pics later!

DU - make sure you take care of yourself. You have the same thing that I do with all the women in my family - 50 is the cut-off! The cousins & sisters are doing well (so far), but aunts & grandmothers, not so good. We want you around for a good long time!

TW - I hope Penny has a good time with her puppy friends. I imagine she's lonely...

CADZ - 10K today...right?! My feet hurt just thinking of it. You go, girl!

It was a bit smaller competition than usual and felt quite peaceful and relaxing.

Got some bad news, My cousin who was a year older than me passed away. We never got along, and I always stayed Faaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from him. He had many problems.

should I start freakin or what!!!! I figure I have 31 more years till I hit 50!

So sorry to hear about your cousin even though you did not really like him all that well.

Being such a young fella, you should be all right. But take extra special care of yourself because WE wouldn't know what to do without you around here.

We had an end of summer dinner party last night.

Sounds like you had a great party. Lots of good food and good company, can't ask for much more than that.

Crazy busy weekend here, will catch up later!

I was off last night from work. We did what we can do for something that may or may not happen!

Took james to the Movies, saw Disaster movie. Lets just say every 14 year old in the theatre were

However the real funny part was when the movie ended. For some reason the rope to the Exit was still up. EVERYBODY was either climbing over it or under it!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOO Stupid. Luckily I was there to unhook the rope and allow everybody to walk thru like normal people!!!!

Not too much planned today, gotta run to the library...returning some books for the friend who's Disney trip I am helping plan. We went over her park schedule saturday and I am calling in her ADRs (since her TA has no interest in helping with that.)

The library has a good job paper I can pick up while there~

Good Morning everyone...
Nice and sunny here this morning, but the nights have been getting quite chilly, and the trees are starting to change already...Pretty early Id say...
I LOVE fall but, only when its SUPPOSED to happen...I feel like Im being short changed on my summer!

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend..
Mike and I worked..
BUT..I am really happy with what we are finally doing... ...We are tiling the base around our fireplace ..Its almost finished..all we have left to do, is the trim, and grouting..It looks so nice..even unfinished..and we will also finally be able to finish up on our flooring there too!..
Im am going to tile the back wall behind it sometime in the future..Not sure how distant that future will be..??? But thats the plan anyway...

Hi Threadkillers!

I am SO tired! Had fun at Bunco and the food was a hit....but I stayed up til 2am reading afterwards - this morning is not my most shining moment! The good news is the clean up is done!

DU - I'm not sure what you mean....No...I've never done time for tax evasion. Sadly, we ALWAYS pay!

Betsy - The fireplace looks great and your visitors are beautiful! What a nice thing to see! Right now the only thing we have outside our door is the lawn guys!

Robin - Bunco went well! We all had a good time and we even broke into the limoncello at the end of the night. After we had appetizers and cake - we were sugared up and silly!

TW - Sorry - no one's ever recorded me singing - even Ave Maria. The next time you visit - I'll sing it for you...maybe...the ONLY comparison I can make to Barbra Streisand is I, too, have stage fright!
