I'm bummed because my thread got killed by a webmaster. I was trying to get people to vote for my sister to win a contest sponsored by a radio station. The reason was that the post was solicitous. I didn't want anyone to sign up for anything and they wouldn't even get any spam. People were voting too.

I once posted a thread to say Hi to a mom of a cast member I met in WDW. They said, "no postings that are personal messages to people"
I see people do that all of the time, but they didn't let me ... I don't know what the difference was

SuprGro78 and Cruisin'Kroezes, I know what you mean. The rules seem to vary as to who can post what and it's quite confusing. You almost feel like you've had your knuckles rapped, right?

That's why this is a good place for us. No one to yell at us or close us down (yet). And, since no one answered our question on what happens at the end, it seems no moderators are here either.
