Good morning everyone!
So sorry about Miss Elizabeth, Kevin. I'll keep you in my prayers during this sad time.
I hope your daughter is feeling much better today, KimRaye.
The Air and Sea Show was fantastic and there were no crashes!
There were MILLIONS (it seemed) of people there and the people watching distracted a little from the Air Show.
Wow!
We slathered on the sunscreen and found a good spot under some palm trees. We had our fold up chairs with attachable umbrellas. We did get some color from the LONG walk to and from the car but not too much.
Since I'm in a "talkative" mood this morning

, I'll tell you all about the Air Show 3 years ago.
A parent at my school was the manager of the Marriott at Beach Place, a beautiful timeshare resort right on the beach. He got us a one bedroom villa on the 14th floor, on the corner of the building with a huge balcony. We were facing the ocean but could see in all directions.
The Blue Angels were there that year, they alternate each year with the Thunderbirds. Those jets were flying right by our balcony!
It WAS a little scary but so exciting and awe-inspiring.
The Air Show is over at 5:00, then there are bands on the beach, fireworks etc.
We were stitting on our balcony at about 10:00 at night and a TomCat came zooming by, right in front of us. Those are the jets in "Top Gun".
Each year, I say I am going to reserve a room for the show but then I wait too long.
A strange thing about Fort Lauderdale Beach, there are only a few nice hotels, the rest are DIVES! Really old and run-down.
I should get on the phone tomorrow to reserve a nice place for next year.
So, that's my story.
I haven't been posting much lately but I have killed a few threads none the less! I feel confident I won't kill this one though!
Time to start doing some housecleaning,
I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!
