.....with the intentions of practicing Haunted Mansion Clue game for the much anticipated rematch with my Granddaghter...

So...i write <b>DO NOT DISTURB</b> on my etch-a-sketch and hang the etch-a-sketch on the door of my den...

well....as i was in the midst of my practice....in walks DW, PrincessAriel & DD WishngStar - fresh from Easter shopping.......no knock, just walk in....

anyway, i start to ask if they read the sign when DW says "What did you do?"

to buy time while I rehashed the list of what i did do, I said "Huh?"

She responded there were cops all over the neighborhood ...

hmmm...that narrows my search....

i was about halfway through that list when there was a knock on the door...the front door...the door that doesn't have a "DO NOT DISTURB" etch-a-sketch message..

well anyways, DW says.."aren't you going to answer that?"

"Nope" was my reply...

...i get up...i lead the 2 of them to the den door. .....and I read aloud.."....D O.....N O T..D I S T U R B"

well...there is another knock...and with an eye-roll...WishingStar goes and answers the door...leaving her Mom standing there shaking her head while I underlined "DO NOT DISTURB" on the etch-a-sketch...

seems all the cops wanted was to inform everybody that there had been an accident down the street and that we should be on the lookout for ferrets that had escaped because of the accident...and we were to call the proper authorities if any were spotted...

since it was clear I was in the clear, I went back to my Haunted Mansion Clue game practice...

after WishingStar left, I took another etch-a-sketch and wrote "INNOCENT TIL PROVEN GUILTY" (in cursive, mind you) and placed the etch-a-sketch where PrincessAriel is sure to find it...

all in all...a pleasant evening....

AAAH....the strappy sandal thread hearkened me back to the time of my first and only pedicure....it was a few years back...around this time of the year...and after a long brutal winter...

I had spent many an hour behind the snowblower...or other outside activities...such as hunting and ice fishing....and over the winter...my feet had taken a beating...so....i decided to treat myself...

so i go up to this "nail" place up in the mall....and this little woman of Oriental descent beckoned me to have a seat....so...i sit..

she bows....well...being a gentleman...i get up and bow to her....

she pushes me back in the seat...and bows again...

so...i stand and bow...she pushes me back in the seat...and bows...

now this goes on a while...finally, i get the idea she has never seen a man in a kilt before....so i tell her "act like a lady"...she bowed again...i finally figure out she doesn't speak english....

well, next thing I know...she's got a tray of utensils straight from the Spanish Inquistion sitting next to her...and me...

I eyeball the tray and say "...and what do you think you're going to do with those?"....she grabs my foot...

uh oh...i am ticklish....not to mention...that whatever she THOUGHT she was going to attack my foot with looked like a scythe....so...i wiggled and giggled...

she got a helper to hold my leg..

yeah right...the helper didn't weigh 90 pounds....i wiggled and giggled....

to the point that i got pointed facing the chair and she attacked my foot like she was a blacksmith and i had a hoof....

well, without being able to see what she was doing...my wiggling subsided....and...the pedicure felt great...so much so that i voluntariy presented my other hoof...i mean...foot....

I had happy feet all summer....

Busy day! Shopping, shopping and, more shopping. Baked Easter cookies tonight. Coloring eggs tomorrow and, making a cheesy broccoli bake (YUCK!!). Mom ALWAYS gives me something to make that I NEVER eat!
