Well...i get home...go through the door...bloodied and slinged and a jewelry store bag in my good hand....(my one stop on the way to the ER)

PrincessAriel sits there shaking her head in much the same way as Lisa...

As I'm taking my sling and bloody shirt off..curiosity gets the best of her and she peeks in the jewelry bag....all she sees is the one shiny, brand new...hmmm.....family board..."Ripple-ring..."

Wait til she sees the other one!

the kind nurse who put it through my....hmmm..."ripple"...told me it looks great....even though it doesn't go this way "---"

because of the way the pick me up stick stabbed me...it goes this "\" way....

My day wasn't as painful as yours but, I did get some somewhat saddening news (another thread).

Care to explain why you stopped and bought a "ripple" ring?!?!

Well...as i was driving to the ER....every time i shifted gears......the other end of the pick me up stick kept stabbing me...and stabbed me a good one when Lisa called my cel.

anyways...all that poking made me say "ouch"...and gave me the thought that "hey...the piercing is done...why waste it?"...

anyways...i see a Jewelry store...jump out (poked again)...rush in...yell "Ripple-ring to go!"

Lady tosses me a cardboard thing saying "Ripple Ring" that held 2 "ripple-hoops"

I toss her some cash....(poked again)...get in the car...(poked again)
and head for the ER...

Yes...a great time with the Grandkids....we played the story line game...you know...one starts the story.......stops..and the next picks it up...i was the second one asleep....

earlier...Kara...age 10..won the Haunted Mansion Clue Game Championship....so.i got her to sign a rematch contract....

Major League Baseball gets in full swing this week. Which prompts memories of last years foray into Baseball here...

An idea was born to have a long weekend baseball tournament benefitting local charities...to boost attendance and generate local interest, the " team invitees" would be a variety of themed organizations as well as some local regular baseball teams....... the Brer_Yodelers were on the "themed" invitation list.

It was made known from the start, that the normal and maybe even the rigid rules would be relaxed so that those fielding teams could use their acts...or schtick... to entertain the fans.

The format would include a championship game. The teams for the Championship game on Sunday would be determined by 2 criteria. The first woud be the team with the best win-loss record on the Friday - Saturday games. The second team would be the team selected based on their entertainment over the tournament.

The Yodelers signed up an an immediate controversary erupted. Seems there was some concern about me being the catcher since I wear a kilt when I yodel. The Controversy was put to rest when the pipers signed up. Included in the themed teams were the clowns....and the mime troupe...

Well...anyways, the Brer_Yodelers wentundefeated...we are a warblng bunch...but we are a soewhat athletic bunch...not to mention we have a couple guys that can bring the heat...

It appeared we would be acing the clowns on Sunday, they were the team selected for entertainment, but ufortunately for them, their Saturday night game ended rather badly.

They were down 9 to 1 in the bottom of the ninth. One Bozo ( i mean that in a nice way) hit a ground rule double. So, the clowns loaded 9 clowns in their clown bus. They figured if the clown bus crossed the plate, they would win 10 to 9.

That idea went down the tubes when the clown bus rolled over rounding third base. There were red bulb noses in places red bulb noses weren't meant to be. Not a pretty sight!

So, because of the various bruises & aches and pains, the clowns bowed out..and...horror of horrors!...the mimes were in.
