Mine is $357 rt as of today! Still cheaper than flying, and I like driving much better.

Drove the kids home earlier, They had a BarBQ at Makenzies Grandparents. I rather have my teeth pulled then stay there. They are very nice people...but snoozefest! And bad cookers too!

Anyhooooooooooo on my way home I got a call from my friend Bob (he was home all w/e dog sitting for there dogs.....One of the dogs gets diareeha fror 3 days everytime she goes in a car.... ) he was home all w/e while his wife & DD's went to their summer place on LI.
Anyhooooooooooo they came home early & he was having a BarBQ...told me too come on over....YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

First time in a loooooong time I got to eat out, with food I didnt have to pickup, cook or pay for!!!! ...and THEY WAIT ON YA TOO!!!!

Dont take much to make me happy!

Big day tommorrow...desperately need a hair cut, go to Moms Dr and have to be at work early!!!!!

They changed the smilies around....I am confused!

The lady came to the door tonight.

I saw her coming so I took off and let Rick answer the door

She asked him if we could please move our car up 3 feet so that they could put their garbage out on the road.

He basically told her no, we could not do that because we needed the space to park our cars in.

He asked why they could not put their garbage on the unused side of their double driveway but they don't want to do that

She said to him that they were not sure how many cars we had and they thought that we had so many that we must have taken in some borders

It has been just beautiful here the last few days...

Too bad I got sick,.....I was feeling a cold coming on in the morning...but felt alright, and we had plans to go kayaking on the lake, so off we went and had a very nice time...
We even found our missing paddleboat, that had drifted off....Mike towed it home with the kayak
BUT...by the time we got home (around 2PM)...I was feeling pretty bad...when I took my temp...it was 101... ..
So I slept the rest of the day, and had a hard night...I still have a little temp..but am feeling a little better today...
The real bad thing is, I normally go see my mom today. I cant do that....Even if I felt ok to go......Id get everyone sick....I feel bad because I didnt go on Sunday(I normally bring the girls on sundays), because we got the new dance mat for the Wii, and they were having so much fun with it...I figured Id just let that day slide and see her on Tuesday

Hi everyone!

I hope ya'll had a GREAT weekend! Today starts the cookfest for my nieces reception on Friday. I'll be making and freezing mini dinner rolls and spinach & swiss cheese puff pastries. I also have a heck of a mess after the weekend, but had an AWESOME time!

DU - I hope all is well with your mother and you enjoyed your BBQ!

Robin - How's Alex? Your trash neighbors are a hoot!

Betsy - are you feeling any better? I'll send some pics if you feel like posting. I didn't take a lot but my favorite was my DGD eating watermelon. She looks like a Precious Moments Doll with her huge blue eyes!

Sewer - congrats on sons accomplishment...dontcha just love proud parent moments?

I usually like it when I'm busy.

Alex has been feeling okay the past few days.

Right now he is at his ultrasound appointment. I hope they find something on it.

Not that he has any time for surgery, his schedule is jam packed until the end of the summer.

But he will have to make time if he needs it.

As to the trash neighbours, they put their recycling bins in the parking space in front of Liz's car right after she talked to Rick last night. Alex not knowing anything of the conversation came home later last night and parked in front of the bins, effectively sandwiching them in between the two cars

I noticed the neighbour looking out his window last night in the dark to check on his bins. I bet he was peeved

Alex has moved his car already this morning, so the bins should be free. I haven't looked yet.

OIY! Whadda day!

The caretaker was coming today, so I left her a note if she can just vacum the living room (this is vital to the upcoming story)

Had ONE small oxygyn tank left, unsealed it and it was empty! So had to use a LARGE oxygen tank...which is a royal pain in the ......... to use!

Took Mom to the Drs. and yes she needs another procedure. They have to put another stent in her right leg, right above where they had already put one. So that is scheduled for next Wednesday.

I HAD to be in work tonight by 5:00pm to take a Company class that I have already canncelled 3 times this year....This was the last one they are giving this year...and it is a MUST. Soooooo got back from the Drs at 2:00, figured I can lay down for a hour, then shower dress & go to work.

After I got Mom into the house I noticed that ALL the small Living Room furniture was moved out of the Living room. That is EVERYTHING but the couch, chair, TV & bookcase! My father moved EVERYTHING out and placed it all over the dining room & hallway while we are gone. (I still aint sure why he did this, but I believe it was so the caretaker can vacum)

I called the Oxygen place for a delivery (so I wouldnt forget) then Dad told me that the dog collapsed while on the deck. I asked him if the Dog ate, and was drinking,....and he was. So Then went over to Casy and felt a HUGE lump on is neck! I called the Vet, and got a appointment for 3:20. I couldnt make it then, so called my sister to see if she could get out of work. She could.

I then went upstairs took a shower got dressed for work. The Vacum was put away, and all the furniture was still in the Dining room & Hallway....and the vacumming wasnt done!!!! The caretaker told me that my Mom told her NOT to do it...that she (my Mom) will do it later.
So I placed all the furniture back in place and left for work.

Then I go to WaWa's and order a sandwich for tonight....Someone else came up to the counter and stole it....so I had to wait about 15 minutes.
(of course you realize i am in a rush at this time)

Annnnyhoooo on my way into work, called home & Mom answered the phone, I asked if Mary (my sister) got home from work yet....My Mom told me NO. She hasnt seen Mary all day. Then I asked if my father was there (very unusual that he didnt answer the phone)....she said no he went to the Vets. So now I know Mary did get home, cause no other way dad to get to the vets.

Sooooooooo I call up when I get to work (5:00pm) and my Mother answers the phone, hysterical crying.....They had to put Casey to sleep.
He had tumors all over.

Casey had a good 18 years....and saw every episode of Law & Order!

But like why couldnt my sister call my cell phone and let me know what was going on????

James did not handle the news too well.

...Then while in class my cell phone went off about 7 times (on vibrate) from my sister in brooklyn...wanting to know whats going on....finally in a break I got to call her. Cause no one at home could give a complete pic of whtas happening.

And now I am stuck at work till 8:00am!

BUT...here is some News. One of the Ladies who works days (i just see her in passing time to time...was taking this class too...cause she missed it over her WDW vacation. We got to talking on a Break...and guess what??? She is a DISER!!! ShesaPirate!!!!
How weird is that?

I am still not feeling so great ...No fever anymore, but I now have a major head cold...that is working its way into my chest...
At least I got sick now and not a few weeks from now....My biggest worry is that Mikes going to get it...and it will be when we go... ..
I spent the last part of the night on the couch, so I wouldnt keep him awake with my coughing...

I'll make sure Julia gets to see it on Sunday...She IS sooooo into vampiers/pirates...She loves to read...I DO think she has read the books you have mentioned..But Im not sure ...She reads books to the younger girls all the time ...and she is very good at writing her own stories...
I cant believe she's 17 already...I will miss the little girl in her Its very bitter/sweet watching them grow up!

Well Im off to try to get some cleaning done...I havent cleaned since the weekend..and seeing it was a long one..the house is quite messy...not to even mention the huge mound of laundry to get done...

We added an extra day on the end so we dont have to leave for a big road trip the day after Britts birthday...
Also ..I am very siked that we will be meeting Ann for breakfast, the morning we pass by her on the way ...

Alex had his ultrasound yesterday morning. He was talking with the technician doing it and found out some stuff.

She told him that she could not see any gallstones but that he had a lot of sludge in there which is just as bad as gallstones.

She also told him the the walls of his gallbladder looked thickened and or inflammed.

She thinks that the gallbladder is what was/is giving him his problems.

Now we will have to wait for a doctor to tell him the same thing

Well, I'm cooking more today (for Friday's reception) and meeting a friend for lunch.

Today I'm making a Chicken Cheese spread, making the chicken filling for the parmesan puffs and chocolate covered Oreo Balls!

Yesterday, I made 72 miniature dinner rolls (I made 78, but DH and I had 6 of them for dinner - they were awesome) for mini-sandwiches - they're freezer friendly. I also assembeled the spinach & swiss puff pastries. I'll slice & bake them on Friday.

So...gotta scoot!
