Who feels like a Thread-Killer? (Temporary)

One of THOSE days here today.

Lots of problems with the mudda & the fadda! It is taken a toll on me.
But I did go to the Dr's meself and get some "happy pills" ..hopefully

Then I got some bad news. Back in the 80's/90's Myself & my friend Bob (who we grew up together) worked with and were best friends with Dave & Spenser.

We all were very very close. Well has life would have it, Spenser had developed some serious abuse problems, and Dave had moved to hawaii. Me & Bob have just recently been back in touch with Dave (around Christmas time). On Sunday myself & Bob called Dave, and we were all wondering what happened to Spenser.

Today, of all things, I was forwarded a email from my former boss. Spenser past away this morning. It seems he had gotten remarried and moved to Tennesee. His son by his first wife was visiting him, he was bringing the boy to the airport, and died in the parking lot. He was 49.

YUP way too young. Its a real crazy story how we lost track with him. But at least I know it was nutin we did. I tried a few times to find him but to no avail. I knew his former FIL, and for many reasons he was no help.
But I really feel bad over this. This stings.

Friday I have someone coming from the Dep of the aged comin in. I have NO clue what to do with these two.

Thats just it!!!!! They way their Ins works, they can go to Adult care together....BUT since Mom is on Oxygen 24x7, they wont put them together, sooooooooooooooo INS wont cover it! And Mom dont want to be with Dad anyway !!!!! NO ezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz solution here.
Dad can go to one place, and Ins will cover
Mom's would cost $5k a MONTH!!!!!! .....Food is seperate!

One of the reason why I moved in with them 4 years ago.

Is there no program that will subsidize the care for your mom?

I suppose since your mom is couch-ridden that you need your dad to help care for her when you are not home.

What about getting someone to come into your house for some time during the day to take care of them and to give you a break.

That might cost you a bit but it just might save your sanity in the long run

No subsidy at all!

I am trying to get in home care...thats why they are coming on friday for ...review the situation.
Dad cant help mom...he screws up everything (even though everything is CLEARLY LABELED) he just breaks things.....we had another flood due to him flushing the dogs weewee pads down the toilet....then flushes the toilet 10 times he broke the Diswasher (ripped the rubber lining off)...and the clothes dryer.....somehow he set the Washing machine on so that the clothes dont spin, i have no idea how he does this) then places the soaking wet clothes in the dryer and runs it for houuuuuuuuuuurs!

I am trying to get him in a day care thing...My friend calls it "Daddy Day care"

My dad did it for a couple of months before he went into the home. He only went 2 or 3 days of the week and was home for the other days. But my mother looked forward to the days that he did go!

It sounds like your dad really could use the supervision.

Does one of them have a better mental "capacity" (for lack of a better word) than the other.

Will your mom be okay at home without someone there with her?

I sure hope that those people are able to help you but you know how it all goes. Unfortunately.

On a happy note today, Liz and I brought home a new baby

She is soooo very cute.

I went to the pet store and they had 3 cute little kittens. One of them was taken while I was standing there.

So I told Liz and brought her back to see them and we brought one home

She doesn't have an official name yet.

Boy is Mischief pissed at us right now

She is hissing and growling.

I hope my sweet little Mischief girl comes back to me again soon.
