Hello

Thanks guys. It took a long time and a lot of hard work for Roger to get where he is now. He started all the way at the bottom and is in a good place right now and keeps moving up higher. :thumbsup2 We're all very proud of him. We came from nothing... :lmao:

Seriously when we first got married we had NOTHING!! Stayed in a very crappy small apartment and slept on the floor because we could not afford a bed!!! There were some days we went to bed hungry and many times we had to go to his parents house to eat and do our laundry. :sad2:

We were young and stupid but as soon as Dante came we knew things had to change. We straightened up pretty fast.

Anyways, we live pretty comfortable now thanks to Roger's very hard work and dedication to take care of his family. We never thought in a million years we could live the "American Dream" :lmao: (be homeowners)

Okay, I don't know why I just told you guys all that :rotfl2:
I guess it looks pretty bad and I'm leaving out some stuff but you get the jest of it.

DU~ how's da mudda's leg today? Is she keeping it wrapped up? I hope the swelling goes down and it stops bothering her soon. :wizard:

So cool that you and Roger are in the same line of work, eh? (noted)

Colleen, yes the Dolphin was nice other then the disappointment of the beds. You can't beat the location. Also while we stayed there there were a lot of business men and woman. I think there was a convention that week.

We looked kind of funny in our vacation gear walking the lobbies weaving in and out of all the business men with their cocktails standing around chit chatting. :rotfl: I bet we annoying to them.

But yes, The Swan/Dolphin offers teachers, nurses, government discounts and I think some others but I can't remember them all. It's pretty good deal I think. ;)

Brenda we've been missing you and now you're gone til Wednesday :sad2:

:teeth:

I hope :wizard: :wizard: the rain stops for you and that you have a good trip!

Sell those BERRIESSSSSSS

Have you stayed at SOG yet?

The best thing about SOG is the suites ::yes::

EXCEPT!

They give you a full on mini kitchen, fridge, sink, cabinets...but no microwave :confused3 We would've been perfectly set if it included a microwave~

My keychain is actually very lite...I keep each car key seperate and off my keychain since I never know which car I'm gonna use...so~

~Heavy keychains are VERY bad for your car's ignition switch btw~

My housekey, a small light, my OBX surfboard bottle opener keychain, my Hurley keychain and all my shopping cards...the library, acme, wegmans, dick's sporting goods, borders and cvs.

Yep! SOG was awesome. The room was HUGH!!!!! The only downfall for us was the transportation. I didn't like how the buses would stop at the parks sooooooooooooo far away and it seemed like we had to walk miles to get into the park.

Or we walked to the POLY and got on the monorail but going back to the resort after all day at the park and having to walk so far was not fun. :headache:

I wish we had a fireplace that worked...

ours was built on the back of the house, the guy who built it made the chimney too short -it's supposed to be higher than the roof to create an updraft...ours isn't so all the smoke comes into the house if we try to use it
:(

We never bothered with the SOG buses...

we used the Poly too, most of the time~

I did try to use it once coming back from DTD and got on the wrong bus! The bus driver literally flagged down the SOG for us in the middle of the road to get us on the right bus...she was sweet, it was LATE, we were very grateful~

We even used our cars sometimes cause the parking pass from SOG got us free parking at the parks.

Thanks for the hug and flower, but ummm you can keep your dad. ;)

I'm a lawyer, Cally.

AUnt Michelle congrats on the tag!

Thank you! :goodvibes

DU~ Roger is a flyer on a J-Star airplane.
 I'm so proud of him. :goodvibes

You should be proud! It sounds like he not only has a cool job but an important one as well. :thumbsup2

Well I'll trade ya a fireplace for the snow :lmao:

I've always thought is was odd that fireplaces in houses in the South seem very popular. I'm not sure if it is just for decorative reasons or not. I've not run into many in the South who actually use their's. I'd rather have the wall space. All the house plans I am looking at have fireplaces! You lose a whole wall - especially in the plans where the fireplace is flanked by windows. But, having grown up in the North, I know how wonderful they can be on those snowy nights, and downright cold days as well.

Aunt Michelle....what is it that you do??? besides being locked away in a room with WAY TOO many conference calls.....

I often ask my self that very same question! I work for a very large company who's market share is in systems and business process outsourcing. My business unit delivers service to mid - large ERP customers who wish to outsource their ERP ans/or Messaging solution to reduce cost. I report into the Solutions Team along with the Solutions Engineers and Architects. The team is responsible for working with Sales and customers to plan and spec out technical landscapes, including network infrastructure, server farms, and primary/secondary business solutions. I'm responsible for support functions for this team and the rest of our business unit. Among my responsibilities are vendor interaction, primary interface to other corporate support teams, capital expediture processing, procurement, and ownership of a number of SharePoint pages that I keep to enable central communication and document management. <That's the short version!> :)

:) I'm sure most of us had a dwelling furnished in "Early Poverty" - I know I did. My first apartment (I was 23 and moved 1800 miles away with a guy I'd known for less than a year) in Dallas we had a mattress on the floor, and went around stealing milk crates for our other furniture! I remember those days fondly... :rotfl: Oh, and I STILL do laundry at my parent's.

We looked kind of funny in our vacation gear walking the lobbies weaving in and out of all the business men with their cocktails standing around chit chatting. :rotfl: I bet we annoying to them.

This reminds me of a trip where we stayed at the Boardwalk! I was with my Aunt and her family (note: this is my mother's youngest sister and she is actually closer in age to me than to my mom). We were riding round on one of those six seater bike thingys and going all the way around the waterway. Over at the Beachclub they were having a Business Affair - Cocktail Party type thing with people in business attire. To get all the way around you had to weave through them on the sidewalks. It was very commical, and some of them were a more than a little tipsy. They starting cheering us on and then started betting on how fast we could make the circuit! :rotfl2: Drunk Business people away from home... there's nothing else like them.

Well Happy Weekend TKers! Relax, kick back, enjoy your family and pets!

Today's Weather: Still YUCKY in my opinion. No sun, only 47 degrees. Yes, that is cold in Georgia!
Today's Word: Troll - An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
Today's Question: If you were invisible, where would you go?

Thank you! :goodvibes

You speak the truth! But I love fireplaces and I knew I had to have one. For me it gives the home a more cozy look. I never had a fireplace growing up. We do use ours sometimes.

Was that english? :confused3 :lmao:

Yes sometimes you have to explain stuff in simple terms to me  Right, Du? ;)

Again the truth!! Most just starting out go through this but I know quite a few who had it very good. :sad2: I laughed at your milk crate furniture! Too funny.

I bet that was a sight!! Sounds like lots of fun.

Today's Question: If you were invisible, where would you go?

If I tell ya I'll have to kill ya

Hey thread killers. I missed the question, so I'm not prepared with an answer. But whenever I'm in doubt, I usually say "42."

Ahh... yes, the answer to the Ultimate Question. ;) Fits everything, I agree.

Yesterday's question was: if you could have dinner with anyone living or dead who would it be?
Today's question is: if you were invisible, where would you go?

Cally -
We buy and manage computers/software for customers who don't want to pay full time employees to run their computers/software.
Does that help?

Yesterday's was who would you have to dinner (living or dead.)

DU, why FDR?

Today's question: dunno, I gotta get back to you on that one :scratchin

 :faint:

Do you put computer systems together for people? maybe??? (I see I was sorta right...right?)

and you might be the central go to person for the company to stay organized???

 Yes, that about sums it up on the first point. I think everyone, maybe not, understands that big companies don't just have one computer to run their software. We call it a "landscape" - meaning all the computers with their bits and pieces that work together to run the software the companies need. More often than not a computer has a certain function - sort of like if you have (4) computers at home, one for all your files, one just for DISing, etc. Each one would have it's own purpose but in order for you to do everything you want you need all of them.

One the second point, close - I am that person but only for our business unit. The company is made up of many business units.

Did I make it worse? The funny thing is if you asked me to make it more technical I could do that easily... maybe I don't speaka English no good!

That helped me, thank you~

So how was that Blue Ray movie Cally, did you two watch it yet???

Aisling was here for a visit today :woohoo: She and I were talking scrapbooking and visited my Mom for a bit~

I got a new magazine from my Mom, The Laughing Place edition of the 25th anniversary of Epcot...I'm gonna read that tonight and get back on the homework wagon tomorrow. I've got an economics test to prepare for for Monday~

:thumbsup2 I perfectly understood that!!!! My last job was a Systems Engineer for a Software Co. I HATE Salespeople!:lmao:

DU, why FDR?
To me he was the Greatest president, pulled this country through the Great Depression and WWII. Just the relationship alone between him and Churchill during WWII is fascinating. Those two saved the world. He started many of the programs we have today, Social security, 40 hour work week...etc He also was elected 4 times. He passed away in his 4th Term. Througout his Presidency he was know for his Humor and humanity, all while suffering greatly from Polio. He was in constant pain, and crippled and only those close to him knew it. It was very rare that a pic was taken of him in a wheelchair.

Just a very interesting man. I read many books about him and saw every movie ever made about him.:thumbsup2

..Oh yeah, in the play Annie, he tought Annie the song 'Tommorrow":lmao: :lmao:

Yesterday's question: Jesus Christ, but as for a regular, mortal person: Kasey Kahne :lovestruc

Today's question: I plead the 5th on the grounds I may incriminate myself.
