Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 7

I read your PJ thread the other day. I found it quite amusing that some of the posters were quite offended. I have to admit that 5 yrs ago, shortly after my youngest was born, I let myself slip into a habit of going to town in whatever had an elastic waist. (including PJ bottoms or sweatpants.) DH and I didn't have any $'s and I counldn't get into my old clothes. Anyway, about 3 yrs ago, we paid nearly everything off so I bought a few new clothes. It was amazing how much better I felt about myself. Enough to inspire me to lose wieght, and start caring more about how I looked. It's amazing how much more respect you get in "real" clothes. Besides, everyones butt looks soooo much better in a pair of Levis!

Sunny day here, about 65...how 'bout over your way?

Spent a good part of the morning looking for Coras "hankie". She has a lavender bandana that she uses as security. There have been many different colored hankies over the years, but this lavender one she had for about 1 1/2 yrs. Never did find it, must be a Pizza Hut. This one has been left at McDonalds and 99, and I've always realised before we get home, but the city is an hour away, so I won't be headed back there today to get it. She'll have to pick a new one. Nice to have them be somewhat disposable. She has about 10 spare, but they have to be super soft so I have to wash and wash and wash them before they will graduate to "hankie" status and earn the honor of being her one and only! I have a pink one saved that was from 3 yrs ago. It was lost, then found after she picked a new one, so it's extra special , but saved for emergencies only. That one I will keep for her wedding day!

We're supposed to go over sis' house for dinner later. Oh yeah, I had a hose break on the washer so my laundry is really backed up...it'll take me days to catch up~

As for me.... I have no voice!!!! I'm sick I have an ugly cough and a stuffy nose!!! UGH and it's hot outside Kids and hubby are playing catch in the backyard with the sprinkler on

Sunny, my oldest had a blanket like that. It was actually a knitted blanket but it was really really soft...and he would always pull little pieces of lint off of it and rub it on his nose... It was so cute.... The blanket finally wore down and we had to get rid of it... It was in pieces... and it was a very sad day We tried to give him other blankets but they never compared

Now that he is 8 years old we sometimes catch him with lint rubbing it on his nose ... Just in case you are wondering... I'm not talking about the dryer lint stuff .... more like the stuffing you find in stuffed animals or pillows.

Now my youngest has 3 favorite blankets that he sleeps with and carries around the house. I'm glad he didnt pick up the lint obession though.

So, Robin how did Liz's night go with the daiquri's? Ahhh to be legal

My Brittany still carries her blankie...

I made (cross stitched) a puffalumps blankie for her and to this day it goes on almost every vacation with her...the only exception was the senior class trip to Florida. And she didn't leave it home for fear of embarrassment...it was cause she was going away without Mom (the packer and finder of lost items while on vacation-you Moms know what I mean) and she didn't want it to get lost.

Hmm... DU doesn't even know about the Jungle Cruise thing... TZM & I had our first date @ WDW and we spent EMH @ MK where we rode the Jungle Cruise 3 times in a row. On the 3rd trip we even got a boat to ourselves where the guide let us each drive.

Weather here today was a bit on the chilly side and very very windy. Rick did not go to fly his airplane at all today because of the wind.

We had our first "dinner party" in our new kitchen today. The grandparents over for Liz's birthday.

I'll be glad when the dishwasher has been installed.

Sunny I seen soooo many woman in WalMart w/PJ's i thought it was some type of "support" thing. I really didnt think it would cause a flaming rukus on the boards.. Then again there is a EXCEPTIONAL amount of that going on....for the dumbest of reasons.
Elastic on pants is a very dillusional thing!
I have a very gooD friend who is a construction worker...he brought his 'blanky' on his honeymoon. He had 2 kids before he got rid of it. I use to tourture him over it! Good times! Good times!
My neice is going off to college in Sept...she has devised 100 ways to hide her blankie!!!!!! Once she left it in WDW....didnt realize it until they were driving home and were in Georgia. My brother HAD to turn around & drive back to get it!

PrincessaC I have a miserable cold too! AHHHHCHOOOOO! AND I was suppose to do laundry today too...and I didnt! We are renegades!

Good to hear you have already christened the new kitchen
...I dont think I could go for long without a dishwasher...Im too lazy..and I hate wrinkled hands

DH got me a Pal Mickey for Mothers day...and he now sits with me in my den as I post.... ..We had alot of fun with him....I guess Ill never grow up...

Another thing we had alot of fun with is giving away balloons ..I was only going to do it once ..but it was so fun I did it another day...So great to see the kids faces when you give it to them ...a whole lot of fun for only 6$...Well worth it!...
