Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 6

ZJO Threadkillers!

The Niagra Falls meet sounds great! I wish I could join you! I liked the pics of the Embassy Suites - sounds like a great deal...however, since I'm not going...my vote doesn't count!

A GREAT, BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RICK!!!!

I'm looking forward to the Threadkiller package! I agree with Kim & Tinknutt - I'd rather send to someone else...not that I don't love tinknutt, but she's gotta help me shop!

SWHNN - sounds like a fun night tonight at the library. The storms are weird. Right now it's VERY windy and we have lightening, but no rain! Cally - you stay safe. IMA I'm relieved your family is okay.

DM came through her surgery well, she's resting and groggy from the whole thing. Her DNeice was coming to visit her with her family and I guess they were in a car accident in South Carolina. No word on how they are yet. It's our step-mother's, brother's children. I'm not sure if we've met them or not, but I guess our cousins by marriage. Anyway, I sure hope they're okay.

Well, I spent some time with DH after work and we took a nap and went shopping! We've been saving our pennies and got a new sliding glass door for the patio - except this one has blinds in between the glass panes. We're really looking forward to having it installed. They measured and we ordered the door - should be about 3 weeks! I'll take a pic and see if I can get tinknutt to download it.

Next week is busy - Wednesday is choir, Thurs, Fri, & Saturday are church events (with tinknutts DH & DS joining the church) lots of time with family. Then the weekend afterwards we fly to California to see our newest grandbaby. The weekend after that the sister's are goin' to WDW! Heck, it's a busy month!

Ya'll take care and I'm thinking of you!

*sister's rock!*

Yes I did...

I usually go into that far enough to get the details and pricing without actually booking.

( I'm up early with the puppy again...:dog: )

Ann- glad to hear your mother got through surgery well, sending wishes for a quick recovery. Hope the other family members are doing okay.

Cally & IMA- hope you guys are doing okay.

The weather freaks me out sometimes, especially when I'm driving. We have talked about sending the kids to a very small, private, Christian Academy to school. It is about 20-25 minutes drive. We hesitate because our winters are soo bad. This winter was mild and we only had about 2 days I felt I shouldn't travel, but we also had many days that the kids couldn't get to school on the bus because our road floods. There's a way around, but it takes an additional 20+ minutes on a horrible road that used to be a train trestle. The bus won't travel that. DH took the kids in those days and I traveled to pick them up. They would have missed about 10 days altogether just do to road conditions. If we send them to the other school, I would have to travel morning and afternoon. Like I said before, the weather freaks me out, especially when driving. I don't know what to do, I'm unhappy with our public school system.

Hope all is well with everyone out there!!
gotta go get Cora her cheerios w/ raspberries!

This one looks fine as well...

I had to drive to Philly yesterday to pick hubby up from work, he was using one of their vehicles while ours were being worked on. 3 of our 4 have been in the shop in during the last two weeks. Aaaaaaaanyway, I say that cause city driving freaks me out. I live and drive on quiet country roads so being around all those crazies in the city scares me. I think it's only because I don't drive there enough.

For the bad weather I have my Explorer. As long as I remember to use the 4 wheel drive it drives great in the snow. My one and only accident ever was because I drove in the snow without it on and spun right into a turn and into another car. BUT! My car sustained very little damage, it's a very sturdy vehicle. I got a cracked headlamp (barely cracked) and my license plate frame broke. The woman I hit need her whole back quarter panel replaced-best part, I didn't get a ticket out of it and my insurance paid for the lady's damage no problem.

Have a Great Day TKers, looks like it's gonna be cold and sunny here today. High of about 55 but it's like 35 right now :cold: brrrrrrrr

Yes I do...

The Comfort Inn looks fine...they all do~

I just happened to find the most expensive places first...

I'm ok with getting a room at the comfort inn and making seperate tour and meal options so our trip is more relaxed and not rushed at all.

Cally, I'm glad to hear your night was uneventful

With storms like those a thunderstorm ain't nothin'

I'm willing to go with the flow of what everyone else wants to do.

Makes no difference to me.

Just so long as I get to see you guys, doesn't matter to me where it is. :teeth:

Hiya Threadkillers!

Oooh....I LOVE hearing about the Niagra Falls meet. It's on mine & DH's lifetime list of places to see, but not this year. I'm SO excited for ya'll - please take pictures and post them!

DH and I had a quiet day. We went to church, saw DM - she's relaxing and comfortable...thanks for the P&PD! Went to put flowers on our mother's grave (SWHNN, tinknutt's & my mother died 25 years ago - DM who had surgery is our much loved step-mother). Anyway, we visited the grave of my co-worker who died last month. It was sad - his birthday was last week and he had a plant and a balloon on his grave that I'm sure his parents put there. It's still too new for a headstone.

Anyway, we went to get some sneakers for DH and I bought a pair of - brace yourselves - PINK CONVERSE HIGH TOPS! They are too cool!

Then we took a nap and we've been relaxing in our PJ's ever since!

Hope ya'll are having a great day and I'll chat with ya'll later!

tinknutt you just changed your picture! I have the one of the three sister's sitting infront of the nemo display at night before our dinner at LeCellier on my desktop background at work right now....I think that's one of my favorites!
