It's a very rainy day here today but warm...

Hello!

Please send some of your rain this way! It's very dry here! My car looks like it's tan instead of white! :rotfl2:

Hope your day is well!

Morning Kelly, Cally, uraken, Susan.

It looks like a fairly nice day here, haven't been out to check though. The sun is shining, the temperature is about 48 and expected to go up to around 60 by Sunday. Rain expected for later in the weekend.

I called our friend from the kitchen place today and told him we were going to go ahead and do the kitchen. Now we will meet with him next week to make sure we both are in agreement with what will be done. We haven't picked out any colours for cabinets or flooring or painting yet either. Still lots of decisions to make but at least the basic floor plan has been decided upon.

Have a good day everyone.

I know you've got to be excited! :goodvibes Any plans this weekend?

Robin, Do you remember that link you posted a while back for free stuff? You wouldn't happen to still have it? I wanted to share it with my friend. :)

I will check for you Cally. I think it was on the Budget Board of the DISboards.

Kelly, it is kind of exciting. I'm going to try and post some pictures of the kitchen plans for you guys. I don't know how well it will work but I'll see.

The schools here start on March Break (spring break) here this weekend, my kids of course are already out of school because of the strike at the college ;)

We have no plans for the March Break this year.

This weekend there is a Home Show in town, so I'm thinking that I will go there for a walk around and see what they have to look at.

Yay Robin!

You're halfway to that new kitchen :goodvibes:

Hiya TKers

Kiminy, NO! I want no money for that book. It was given to me...enjoy it.

The only part I don't like about the unofficial guide? Not enough pics!

For as fat as that book is, I expected more pictures. And when I see Len Testa at the PA meet this year I will mention that to him.

I traded my meeting with Roxy away to one of my co-workers...

He got to sit with them for 4 hours but I now get to go to the Surf Expo in Atlantic City next week

Why is the school on strike? Our spring break is the last week of March... Hmmmm what will I do with 3 kids??!?! :bitelip: :teeth:

Kitchen remodelling plans:

This is the overall idea of how it will look when it is done, no island in the middle for now. We might do it later if we think we need to.

Glass door(s) in the cabinet to the right of the window.

Sounds like a good trade off to me ::yes::

Will you have time to see any of the sights.

I was in Atlantic City once. Only overnight and we had Liz with us, so we really didn't see or do much. I liked it there though for the fact that it is right on the ocean.

Why is the school on strike? Good question, of course they always say that it is not about the money but it always comes down to the money.

I think they are complaining about too many students and not enough teachers, preparation time :confused3 I don't really know because I haven't really been reading up on it.

All I know is that if it carries on for too long it will really effect the students the most. Their school year only goes to the end of April, so they are in real danger of having to push back the school year to finish if the strike goes for any length of time. That will affect their chances and opportunities to get summer jobs in order to pay for next years schooling. The ones who were planning on graduating this spring (Alex being one of them) will possibly run into problems not being available for employers when they want/need them.

Alex has his summer job at the summer camp up north again this year. He had to tell them that he might have to go to school instead to finish his year. The camp talked about not hiring him because of this because of course they need to have all of their plans and employees in place for when the kids arrive in the summer.

The camp director decided to take a chance that Alex will be available and hired him anyways. Hopefully he will be able to keep his job. :sad2:

Howdy all! Known Cally for awhile now and thought I would come on over and see what the fuss was all about. Nice "little" group you got here :rotfl: .Hmm am I going to be the thread killer of the thread killer thread? Please don't let me be! :rotfl2:
