Well Its a very frosty morning here today...
How was everyones weekend????

Mine went well, Davids(DGS) birthday was fun...they had a piniata(sp?) and the kids and candy were a flying ..but it was very funny to watch...

Im so glad I could help. ..I dont know why someone would flame you for that ...its not like you dont have room in the other room....and they are not going to do a head count to see...Im sure they wont even care ...

I am busy planning my trip too.... has anyone done the parasailing...either at WDW or on the cruise....DH has said hed be interested in trying that...Id like to maybe surprise him with it...
Can NOT wait to get out of this COLD weather....

Einstein has a vet appt. today for the rest of his shots....then the groomers tomorrow.....Im a little worried about tomorrow ...it will be the first time he has been away from me ...except for waiting in the car for me when I go shopping or to lunch.....this will be most of the day...with OTHERs he doesnt know
BUT its right next to the mall soo ....Guess whos going shopping ...and then we are going out to dinner with my DS and DDIL....Guess between the Bday party and dinner out Im not going to lose to much weight this week..

Dear T-Kers-
It has been a few days since my last post.....

(thought I'd start off like a diary entry, seemed appropriate since many of you post at least daily!)

It is officially FEB VACATION here. Only Mon. morning and I'm already for the kids to go back to school. I know someday I'll wish they never left the house but for now....I just want them to get along for more than 10 minutes a day.

We're headed to a birthday party in a few hours. We got the birthday boy (10y) the cranium game "whonu". Anybody here played it. My DD (17) borrowed her friends game and brought it out for us all to play one day and it was quite fun,....and plays quick so it's not a 4 hr commitment like "life".

Tomorrow we are going to a kids scrapbook workshop, it last about 3 hrs so that should work out well. Tuesday evening I have my weapons class. Suppose to get my nunchucks and bokken so that should be interesting. I think I'm gonna wear my sparring gear so I don't give myself a cuncussion with the nunchucks. Thursday we're hoping to get to Hermon Mt to go tubing but I'm not sure. I'm a little nervous about tubing down a mt.

I guess all in all this week should fly by. If I don't again by Wed. pm, you'll know I really hurt myself with my new weapons.

Betsy, I know of one who did the parasailing at the Contemporary...

He was about 18 at the time and said it was awesome!

I went to get my Birnbaum's this weekend and not only had my waldenbooks changed to a border's express, they did not have my book~ the girl at the counter was quite rude to boot

I picked up a passporter but it's just not the same...

SM (Sunny Medford- we abbreviate everyone's name here) It's nice to see you doing so many unique, daring, activities Just Be Careful and come back to us in one piece~

Good Morning Thread Killers & Lurkers Alike!

Colder than a well-diggers heart here (thanks Canada!)

BUT! It is a holiday.....

Happy Presidents Day!

anyway....I have a a day off.....so....

I am playing with a new toy....

I got a "Rock Tumbler" from the oldest DS and his family for our Wedding Anniversary....

You see....one of the summer adventures I take with the GrandKids....is to go to the shores of Lake Erie and search for beach glass....

Someday we may actually make jewelry with it for ourselves....

I digress....

We usually find green (coke bottles) and brown (beer bottles) beach glass....

we have found others...red or blue being the rarest....even though oldest DGD did fnd an orange piece....

now....we can make our own....so...I am a tumblin' as we speak.....

I have the rocks tumbling that came with it....kind of a trial run....

Naturally....I can't doany glass until the GrandKids are here to help....and we choose colors...and find the
right colored bottles to break & tumble....

I did a bit-o-catching-up....

I have been to Hoop-De-Doo at least a dozen times....

It's good food and great fun....all my kids have been part of the show.....at least once....

and my Dear Departed FIL was chosen once too....

We were there at our Anniversary a time or two as well...and were recognized....

Even though the audience participation show is virtually he same as it was when we first went in 1983.....and it is a bit silly....

we have always had a blast....each and every time....

You know....if I am absent from here....and there was anything wrong...

I can't help you with the parasailing question, I've never done it before and I don't personally know anyone who has.

It does sort of look like fun though. I think I'm getting more daring in my older age

You will have to post a picture of Einstein with his new "do". I know that it's hard to leave those babies with strangers but he will probably be just fine.

Hmm, I'm not so sure, since I'm not a real water lover.

I've seriously looked at the huge swing things at amusement parks. You know the ones between 2 big towers where they put you in straight jackets and let you go gliding across facedown.

I'm not sure that I'm brave enough for that either but life is short and we have to seize the chances while we still can.
