Hi Cally, the kids go back to school tomorrow!! What did you do over the long weekend? Tell me more about Disney podcast.....

The podcast are like radio shows that you can download to your ipod. The Disney ones talk about news and happenings at WDW and rumors and all kinds of good things!

If you go to the Itunes music store and click on podcast... then in the search type in Disney it will pull a whole bunch up. They are free!

And you can also find tv shows on podcast too.

I'm working on my blue blue belt. My son(8) outranks me though...he's got a half-rank. My daughter (5) started in Jan. but they each only participate in the TKD classes. Only those high school & up allowed in our weapons class. I let my son use my tonfas though. They fit him quite well. I think I have a 'test" tonight.

We have one of those rock tumblers somewhere. The kids really enjoyed it for about 6-mo or so. Then we ran out of grit and the store at the mall that sold it went out and I kept forgetting to order more. I should do that though because it is really neat. You've inspired me. I'm gonna do that once I leave here.

Congrats on the new GRAND-daughter. My husband says the best reason to have kids is it's the only way you can get grand children. While we are in no hurry,....we are looking forward to being grandparents.

I remember that song from my childhood and then from my neices...I was singing along....loud enough that the kids were annoyed!! (Doesn't take much when somethings on that they want to watch....but if I'm trying to watch something....)

My sister took her kids to see 8 below the other day, she said she cried. I'm suppose to go Satuday to see Nanny McPhee I think.

sunny_medford Our children are the same ages! My oldest (Dante) was in TKD.. he just made the yellow belt when he stopped. My youngest never wanted to join.. but both are talking about rejoining so we may be putting them back in again.

Morning everyone. but here today.

I had the kitchen diva guy here this morning to measure the kitchen and have a look. He seemed a bit less diva-ish today than when I met him the first time. He says he did one of our neighbours kitchens and I have seen it and it is very nice. We will see what he comes up with.

I have guys coming tomorrow and Thursday too. Always better to have a few estimates and different ideas to look at.

Okay now for the big news.

We are going on ANOTHER cruise One of Rick's friends has been bugging us to go on a cruise for the last year. It has finally been decided that we are going in November So far there is a group of 11 people going (all remote control airplane guys and wives, one child)

We are going on ... Royal Caribbeans Adventure of the Seas. That is one of those huge ships with the ice rinks and the minigolf and the in line skating etc. It leaves out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. I've always wanted to try one of those big ships and if for whatever reason we don't get along with our travel companions there's lots of places to get "lost" in. Actually we have cruised with the one couple and their son before on DCL.

It is also a 7 day cruise and we have only ever been on 3 or 4 day cruises, so that will be interesting too.

I guess that we will just have to recall 2006 as the "Year of the Vacations"

No Ann, you definitely did not tell us about the new arrival. Congratulations, can't wait to see some pictures. Can you tell us her name?

Of course I can - her name is Ruthie Miriam. It's a very traditional/family name. She's a little butter ball. I'd post a pic, but I still don't know how! I guess I could ask Tinkntut to post them for me - do you need me to e-mail them, tinknutt?

Ruthie Miriam, that's a very unusual name for a child today. I like it though. I've only heard it as Ruth with Ruthie as a nickname. Actually I went to school with several Ruth's

She won't have to worry about there being too many others in her class with the same name. Unless of course the name is making a comeback.

What does her big brother think about having a little sister?

I've got Remedial Tap Class in 15 minutes.

A bunch of us in my other tap class thought we needed extra help, so know we have remedial tap class on Tuesdays. I look at it as more exercise

I passed the tonfa basics test!! Now I get to move on to bo and the bun kai on the tonfa vs bo.
I'm a little sore, we also started twirling the nunchucks, I'm okay w/figure 8's with down movements but to transition to figure 8's with up movements.... I need lots of practice. I also got my bokken, a wooden sword. I usually "PINK-UP" my weapons. I'll be busy tomorrow doing that. I'm the only girl, and I'm much shorter than everybody else so my weapons are smaller. They make fun of them so I play along and make them all girlie!!

Well, just wanted you all to know I made it through. Thanks for all the good wishes.
