I dont have much planned today...with the way the gas prices are Im not going anywhere unless I have to....I cant believe its over 250 a gal.... ...Not a great time to live in the country...Its not as bad as I remember it was when we were stationed in Italy(their gas was 3.99 at the time(1974/75) )but we are getting there.....

A much cooler morning here, I have the windows all open, temperature right now is about 70. A nice change.

Plan for the day so far Cally ~~ breakfast, shower, mail some parcels, go to work for a bit, Liz needs to see the chiropractor and after that

You are right Betsy, Alex will probably be glad to get home to the peace and quiet Not that I expect to see much of him until after the Labour Day weekend because he has all sorts of plans.

Gas prices here are also very high. It works out to $3.75 Canadian a gallon (sold in liters over here) $3.75 Canadian right now translates into $3.13 US $.

Not too much you can do about it though Gotta keep moving along

Good Morning all and Happy Monday!!

Ann - Had a great time this weekend. Need you to save Sunday for me again, DS (BJ) maybe coming home with girlfriend this weekend!! (very excited)

Betsy - the cake is easy make a box (favorite chocolate) double layer cake. My hubby made a large one with each pan requiring the whole box. Frost the bottom layer with chocolate icing lightly on top, then top with a good peanut butter. (It helps if you microwave it a little so it spreads easy). Then put on second cake layer finish frosting with chocolate icing and crumble reeses on top!! YUMMY!! Yep, I want that get out of jail card ...Ann may not need it, but I might

Cally - Sorry to hear about your FIL, Smokers really have a tough time....they don't realize what terrible things it will do to their health till its too late! Will keep him in our prayers.

Robin - Wow your weather sounds great!! We are still scorching hot with the high in the 90's and heat index in the 100's, but can't complain....because I don't like the cold

Well, I can speak for myself. I'm doing okay. Have a doctor's appt later today. Kinda nervous there... never been to her before... but at least it's a "her." Not quite settled in yet. But it's getting to feel normalish. Alas no, the move was just within my own town, so no closer to TZM. We're still several hours apart. But I'm excited because I'm going to see him this weekend! Hmm... I like that... this weekend. This one... the next one.

Well its cooler here too.....and I thought Id get off my you know what and get some stuff done that needed doing..... Ummm
THE MOWING....I havent mowed in a month(its been so hot and dry we havent needed too)and it was starting to look raggie...SOOO.I start up the ol tractor...and off I go... ....WEELLLLL.I get half of my front yard done and I RUN OUT OF GAS ...So I say ...It can grow a few more inches Until I can get DH to get me some gas.....cause a gas can aint going to go into MY car....

It went well. Doctor was very nice. And I was asked to participate in a clinical trial that actually decreased my out-of-pocket expense. So that's kinda cool.

They're evaluating a new kind of screening test. It's sponsored by Roche Molecular Systems. The Informed Consent they gave me says that they'll have 21,000 participants nationwide.

I could NOT believe I paid $2.75/gal today! I only needed 1/2 a tank, and it cost over $33!!!! Hmmmmmm, how many miles per gallon does the get????

Been busy the past few days? School must be starting soon for your kids. Ours don't go back until Sept 6.

Liz still hasn't heard yet if she will be attending college in a few weeks or not. She did get a call from the college today but she had a chiropractor's appointment and of course the college called while we were out She tried to call back but they were already gone.

Matt starts 8/22 and Kelly starts 8/24. The butterflies in MY tummy started last week! They both have to go to school tomorrow, at the exact same time, for registration and books. Figures.

After that, I'm hoping we can head to Six Flags Great America for a few hours. Our last lengthy time there this season.

I WANT TO SEE THAT DVD! You promised!
