ZJO Threadkillers - sad news here in Florida....

Tinknutt and I are part of a large, loving, blended family. One of our step-sisters was murdered last night. The details are very sketchy and probably best not discussed on a public board.

It's unlikely you'll see us hanging around much in the coming weeks - but please keep the family in your prayers.

Thanks and we'll check in to say hello when we can..... :cool1:

sorry to hear :grouphug:

check in when you can, we'll be here for you.

but then, you know that

Oh my gosh Ann :earseek:

How horrible.

Remember that we are always here for you and TN if you ever need us.

:grouphug:

Just a real quick hello.

I'm very sad :sad1: :sad1: Family needs lots of prayers and :wizard:

Will still work on SS

Chat later :grouphug:

tinknutt, I just wanted to let you know also that you will be in our thoughts.

Please take care of yourself and Ann during these troubled times and remember that we are here for you if you need anything at all.

HollyAnn & TinkNutt - I am sending my prayers to you and your family during this very difficult time - I know that I have not been around this thread for very long - but please know that from the bottom of my heart I am truly sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts. This is a terrible tragedy and I send both of you BIG HUGS :grouphug: :grouphug: in this trying time.

Tink - if there is anything I can do to assist you in the SS please let me know -

Came home from work tonight early I was having a low blood sugar moment -almost passed out - yeah that was fun!!!! and of course bless my DH he yelled at me - well not yelled - but got mad at me - hello - dizzy here - ready to hit the floor :faint: and your mad at me - uh why!!!! oh that's right ever since the Dr. confirmed (mind you this was 4 years ago)that I am indeed hypo-glycemic and suffer from anemia (until then it was always a guess my mother had) and said it in front of DH - he now holds the wand of eating :wizard: - hmmmm pass me a bowl of SUGAR please!!!!! :hyper: :bounce: and don't forget the side of beef with that!!! Sorry - needed to vent - was that my outside voice!!!!

I realize the sadness that is on the board tonight but I do have dilemma - that I would like some advice on - so I turn to you all my fellow Tker's - I will try and give the Readers Digest Version:

BF (best friend and Maid of honor in my wedding) is getting married :bride: (never mind that I CAN'T stand the guy (there is that outside voice again) in July and has asked me to be a part of the wedding as a Bridesmaid - I naturally accepted :crazy2: - She & the Fiance (loving refered to as the "I-think-I-am-better-than-everyone-guy" :snooty: ) are having the engagement party this Friday evening from 7-10p - DH , the kids & I would have to drive at least an hour (hour and half) to get there - no biggie except my oldest has swimteam practice that evening 8-9p - she must attend 14 out of the 19 practices to compete in their swimmeets (and this is the first week of practice) -Coach made it prefectly clear that excusable absences are = illness, death....etc. So do I go solo with the two oldest DS's and DH stays at home? Or do I not go at all? and I really don't think there is a third choice......(oh h**l let's face it I am making an excuse cuz I don't care for the I-think-I-am-better-than-everyone-guy) So any advice would be appreciated and yes I am soliciting....

Thanks again - watching the Sox bottom of the 7th no runs for either - this is craziness!!!!

It sounds to me that you are looking for an excuse not to go to this party.

In that case I would probably say don't go because you aren't going to enjoy it.

Unless of course you feel obligated to be there because you are a member of the wedding party :confused3

So my advice is.......... I really have no advice ;) sorry :earboy2:

Will your friend be really upset if you don't go? Or will there be so many people there anyways that you won't really be missed?

I don't know..... again......... I don't really have any good advice.

Maybe the best advice I would give is to go with whatever your instinct tells you to do.

:grouphug:
I instantly thought the same thing when I read your news Ann. :worried: :grouphug: :wizard: For you and TN and your families, extended included. How incredibly tragic. :sad1:

TN, like TKBell said, if you'd like to turn the SS chore over to me, I'd be happy to do it. :goodvibes

Thoughts and prayers for all those in pain.

Janet, do you HAVE to take ANY kids with you? Wouldn't they rather be with Dad doing ANYTHING else than attending a probably-mostly-adult engagement party? :confused3 I think as a bridesmaid, you're obligated - - you did agree to that, afterall. I know years ago, I was a bridesmaid many times over, and there were multiple showers in some cases, and I went to them all, maybe not bringing a gift to each shower ($!$!$!), but I attended.

Sorry to hear of your medical-day today. Keep yourself healthy, for you AND your family. :grouphug:

Oh NO! :earseek: :guilty:

Ann, Susan, :grouphug:
I am so sorry for you and your family...I will definitely be praying for you...

TB(TKERBELL),
Had to shorten your name...is TB alright?....
I have to agree with Kim,(well I dont HAVE to, but I do anyway :teeth: )...If you agreed to be a bridesmaid..then you are kind of commited to do all the things that being a bridesmaide entails....I also agree that the kids really wouldnt have a good time if its an adult party...and YOU might...It might be a nice break ....Id say go enjoy yourself and Just do the congrats in the beginning and then you dont have to pay much attention to the DF...He will be to busy to have to hang around with anyway..and you can enjoy the other people there....I say......If you HAVE to go have fun with it.... ;)
JMHO...

Colleen,
John wants you to ups him a snowball please
I would be glad to, ...You send me a box of dry ice and Ill send it back with a snowball....heck Ill send back a half dozen..that way you and he can have a snowball fight...(ok it would be a very short snowball fight, but hey I AM trying here :teeth: )...but you better hurry up with that dry ice because the snow is already melting... :rotfl:

Yeah! :cheer2: SOX won!...I dont watch, but DH told me this morning and I said....."Kim will be happy!"..He agreed... ;) I think thats the only reason he told me, because I had said "I hope they win for Kim", befor I fell asleep on the couch :cloud9: while he was watching it... :teeth:

Ok to shorten the name as long as no-one thinks it is short for tuberculosis - :scared: and cause a wide spread panic - you know like the whole bird flu thing :faint:

Ok TKer's I have decided to fly solo on the engagement party - BTW - kids are invited to this that is why I mentioned bringing the 2 older DS's - besides I may need some company on the drive there and back -

Ok not to offend any feminists here it is - NO BASHING PLEASE - I HATE DOING THINGS W/O DH - I actually enjoy being with him and doing things with him - I think that is why I was having such an issue with going by myself - sooooooo agreeing with all and I did agree to participate in this event - personal feeling aside regarding the fiance - I will be attending - solo -(ugh the thought astounds me - ok here is my Scarlett O'Hara moment - whoa is me whoa is me - fiddle dee dee..... :scared: :faint: :headache: )

Oh and did everyone hear - The SOX won!!!! LOL (my sarcasm for the moment)

 everyone.

Just back from dance classes, needed a snack (toasted English muffin with a slice of Velvetta cheese, yummy) and a cup of tea.

hey Robin,TB,

Just between shows....

Interesting story!....
OK...I have Onstar..in my car...with it I normally buy 100 mins...of phone time a year..so I can use it if I have to near my home.(I get reception in the city for my cell but not where I live in the mountians. Onstar is satellite so I can with it.).I was recharging and the op goes to recharge to 100 mins. for $40.00 and accidentaly recharges to 1000 mins. for $395.00 :earseek: on my CC....Well they tell me they can credit me for the mistake...but they already put the mins. on my car and cant take them off  ....So I just got 1000 mins for 40.00 :teeth:But I feel bad for the poor girl who made the mistake...I bet its not going to make the boss happy...
