Yeah! SOX won!...I dont watch, but DH told me this morning and I said....."Kim will be happy!"..He agreed... I think thats the only reason he told me, because I had said "I hope they win for Kim", befor I fell asleep on the couch while he was watching it...

Ummm, thanks, I think. I am happy for the City, in general, but having to deal with the smug Sox fans for the next 6 months +, is gonna be hard. I'm not saying ALL Sox fans are like this, just the ones I know.

I did my weigh in today.....and Im .6 lb. short from loosing 10 lbs.....

Weigh to Go Betsy!!! Next week, 10 lbs gone PLUS! You're doing great!

Ok not to offend any feminists here it is - NO BASHING PLEASE - I HATE DOING THINGS W/O DH - I actually enjoy being with him and doing things with him - I think that is why I was having such an issue with going by myself - sooooooo agreeing with all and I did agree to participate in this event - personal feeling aside regarding the fiance - I will be attending - solo -(ugh the thought astounds me - ok here is my Scarlett O'Hara moment - whoa is me whoa is me - fiddle dee dee..... )

There's nothing wrong with wanting DH there with you, AND your kids, given that they were invited, but the situation was presented that your DH CAN'T go because of DD's swim practice (I believe it was), so not showing up because of this fact alone, didn't seem valid, imho. You're doing the right thing. And like Betsy said, you just might enjoy the company of friends when you get there. BTW, Scarlett was a very independent woman - so follow her lead, for just this one night. We want details too, when the parties over.

Ann, Tom, Mary(older sis) and I are off this morning to SC for services. Still no leads, on who did this horrible crime!! Then she will be buried on Tues in MI. The family here in FL has been requested to be at the SC service, so will will not be going to the one in MI.

Ann has a very very bad cold. I feel bad for her with all this other stuff going on.

Good Morning all

Mike and I will have an empty house this weekend, My Mom is going to my DSis for the weekend and no kids on Sunday....as they are having a halloween party ....

So it will be just me and him... ...we dont get that very often....Im looking foward to it....of course we will probably be working....but thats ok...

Another interesting story....

My BF(best friend)...works in healthcare..well she all of a sudden came down with chicken pox....for the sec. time in her life .....anyway ..when she found this out ...one of her coworker started to really feel bad ..said it was her fault, because she had shingles....seems this girls with shingles was out of work for 2 days...and the boss lady(same boss as my BFs) said to get back to work by day three or the coworker has NO job.....well she was suppose to stay out for 2-3 weeks(not days)...and infected My DGF...So its all the bosses fault....and now they are calling DGF and apologizing...and all....she will probably get 3 weeks off from work with pay!...

anyway....I have to get going ...busy day today...

Hey Betsy, it sounds like you will be able to talk for a long time with all of those minutes you now have available in your car.

A week or so ago I picked up a prescription from the drug store.... when I got it home I realized they made a mistake. They gave me 120 pills instead of 100 pills (sealed in blister packs), only charged me for 100. Since these pills cost over $2.00 each I called the drug store and asked what they wanted to do about it.

They don't usually take drugs back after they have left the store. They came and picked up the package and returned it to me correctly. No apologies, no thank yous for returning about 45 dollars in drugs to them that I could have just as easily have kept.

So much for rewarding honesty, next time I think I will just keep them

I got our cruise documents for our Royal Caribbean Cruise today. It's getting closer

Well, exciting and not.

With Royal Caribbean you have to register on line, so the documents are not even really needed, although you do need the luggage tags so your bags get to the right cabins. It is still interesting to get the documents though and to confirm your cabin assignments. They also list all of the excursions that are available, which is nice to look at.
