Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 5

Yes..I have always wanted a screened in porch.....maybe in the back of the house off the kitchen....There are so many things we would like to do with this place....now that we are owners and not renters...but...everything costs...So we will see....

The spa for us is...one of the biggies..we have waited eight years after the other one died to get another one...the last one was really small..but we loved going in it on thoses 20-30 degree nights after a full day of working...AND I never had a hard time sleeping after sitting in the spa for a while...I am looking forward to that....I have not had really good nights sleeps lately....
As for doing the building ourselves..its a must or we wouldnt be able to afford to do anything...most of the cost for things is hiring someone to do it....Im lucky Mike like to do things like this....
We use to sit on weekends wishing we had a place to just do stuff with...Now we do...there is really almost too much to do now!....

Good evening all, and Happy Saturday!!

Just finished with work and then made dinner (homemade lowfat chilli) better when its cold outside. Now DH wants to walk :cool1: I thought that I made the lowfat chilli so I wouldn't have to walk :rotfl2:

Well better go spend time with him. :goodvibes

Would love a May get together. Also planning another Vacation in May. DH and I are going to go to the Grand Tetons (near Yellowstone park). So lets pick a date so I can work around the other vacation. :Pinkbounc

Hugs to all :grouphug:

Well my dates are the 9-19th....if you all could work around that ...it would be great!...It would be so much fun to meet everyone..... :cool1:

TN,
enjoy your walk...My Dh wants me to make chilli...because we have sooo many tomatoes and he has grown some of the HOTTEST habinaro peppers ...I cant eat hot peppers so he puts his in after the chilli is made..in his own bowl... ;)

I have always wanted to see the grand tetons...I just love nature.....
By the way do you know what "Grand tetons" really mean......Look it up :teeth: they were probably named by some old lonely trapper :rotfl2:

ZJO Threadkillers!

How was your first day on "days" tinknutt? Sound like all is well....looking forward to tomorrow.

DalPal - your deck sounds divine! Tom and I always "dream" hot-tub...maybe one day! Tinknutt and her DH had one and used it all the time!

Cruisin - you are such an angel. I agree - a break away from the TV is in order for me. My DH told me I was "obsessing" about the storm. Easy enough to do. Thanks!

Well, I bought some clothes today! Not a church dress, but I did buy 2 capri pants and 3 shirts. JCPenney was having a really big sale. Then I came home and took a nap with DH and we went to church.

We just returned from one of our favorite Chinese restaurants. DH eats the buffet, but it has too much seafood for me - I don't even attempt it! I order off the menu. Tonight I had chicken curry (spicy) with NO rice. It was delicious and such a HUGE serving (tinknutt - insert Carter's "HUGE" here :rotfl2: ) that I have 2 lunches for next week! Yummmmm....

Well, ya'll have a nice night and we'll chat later!

I went out to eat tonight and ate way too much :faint: I don't usually do that but I feel uncomfortable right now

About the hot tub ~~ got duct tape :rotfl2:

ZJO!

I went shopping today!

I went to pier one and got four new lanterns for outside, 2 outdoor rugs and three new windchimes...then I went to Target' and ogt a rug for my son's room, school notebooks binders and mechanicpencils for the kids. Britt even got a couple denim bins for her magazines.

Then when I came home-hubby was napping-when he got up he said he was hungry so I said let's go to Stewarts!

after some chili dogs and vanilla milkshakes we stopped at dunkin donuts for some coffee and munchkins

 well said Robin, thank you. I haven't watched tv all afternoon, right now hubby has on americas most wanted. I may convince him to put in Liminy Snickets~

Hi All

Just a quick good night.

HA (HA, I like that HollyAnn) days went well although the early wake up was tough :flower: although I'm :sunny: than most when I get up. Can't wait to see you tomorrow and celebrate your :bday: !!!

Loved our hottub Betsy, need to get one for this house!!

Good job on the no TV!! Still say your prayers.

Goodnight to all :grouphug: :cloud9:

A lot of thread killers have been having a lot of fun shopping today ::yes::

I didn't shop today, unless you count that dinner out that we had. I'm STILL uncomfortable from that, yuck :crazy2:

I've never heard of Stewarts before Colleen, what type of place is that?

Goodnight tn. I'm a :sunny: morning person too. We have 2 :sunny: morning people in this house and two not so :sunny: morning people :earboy2:

Stewarts is a 50's style drive up restaurant

They make the best Root Beer!

When you pull in you leave your lights on til a server comes out and takes your order. They have hot dogs, hamburgers, scramburgers (pulled pork really), chili dogs, milk shakes and root beer.

They bring it out on a tray that rests outside/on your window amd you eat in your car.

It's a summertime staple around here, I suggested we go last night cause they close for the season soon.

For whatever reason, shoppnig always helps my moods when I get a liottle low

Even if it's for rugs, dog food and school supplies...;)

I came home and took more pics of the yard, the fall flowers are looknig very pretty lately. Taking pics also helps me relax...

I'm glad to see the situation down south is moving forward but still don't ant to watch much of it...

I'm counting down to my next vacation, counting down to my new job and just about ready to start booking excursions for our cruise so I've got plenty to keep me busy.

:sunny: Beautiful sunny weather on deck today, a little laundry (necessary evil) and maybe a BBQ tonight.

~It's pretty quiet with no Kim, Cally, BP, Ophie and TZM, eh?~noted.

~T~

Colleen ~~ I think that I've heard of Stewart's Rootbeer. Do they sell it in bottles also?

We used to have some of those kinds of restaurants but they were A & W 's. Nothing like that around here anymore though :sad2: I remember going to them, though in my younger years. :teeth:

Fall flowers :faint: I want summer to stay, in a way. But I supposed the fall is bringing me closer to my cruise vacation too. ::yes::

I don't know what or if we will do any excursions. I think we will go to Atlantis in Nassau but we will probably just get a taxi and go instead of taking a formal excursion. Other than that I will have to discuss with my parents, since it is mainly for their benefit that we are going and they probably won't go again. I'm thinking they might enjoy the harbour tour in Nassau, nice and tame but still interesting enough I suppose.

Beautiful sunny day here today, not to hot and not to cool, just about perfect :goodvibes

Yup, sure is quiet around here lately. I do see that Cally ran through here though :moped:

Brer_Papa seems to be missing in action.... maybe the fair had a hoosegow and he got caught up in it :earseek:

Did you have fun at the amusement park Kim, enjoying your day at your mom's?

Hi Threadkillers!

I'm back from my adventure today and I even got an hour nap!

The sister's took me to a great place called Seven Bridges - it's a restaurant and micro-brewery....I'm not a beer drinker, but I love those kinds of places! I had a yummy lunch of a hummus & goat cheese salad with roasted red peppers and tomatoes. It had garlic pita wedges for the hummus and I even indulged in one of them!

I got the most awesome birthday present from them. Guess what it was....it was a book gift certificate, McDonald's gift certificates and a movie gift certificate! What could be MORE perfect?!

Tinknutt - I know Mary isn't here to read this - but.... :grouphug: thanks SO much! I truly felt like a birthday princess (dibs on Belle!) SISTER'S ROCK!!!

We then went to the mall and we got matching Mickey Mouse (vintage style) t-shirts for one of the days of our trips...I imagine you'll see pics!

Anyway, headed to McDonald's for dinner! Take care!

TW - Nice pics. I think your candles melted! I LOVE those....I had one on a cake for my dad a few years ago and it made quite a splash! Whenever I'm in a bad mood....DH sends me to the grocery store - it always perks me up!

Robin - still taking your advice. When the storm stuff gets too much, I turn the TV off for a bit - feeling much more like myself! I imagine you miss the summers as fall shepards in the cold, but I do LOVE fall....my favorite time of year!

Kim - I wasn't on-line last night, but I missed seeing you! Hope you come back tonight!

Was it my imagination or did we see PrincessaC run by here today?

Ya know what else was missing? DalPal's morning report! Is the sheriff taking some time off? It's the hot tub? isn't it?

I think you may be right...BrerPapa is probably in a fair grounds' hoosegow....hopefully, his infraction isn't too severe and only serves a short sentence!

Take care ya'll!

Hi Ann, you still there? Had a great time today. And Happy Birthday, I love you!! :love2:

Betsy, Grand Tetons, kindof sounds like a nickname for some other body part :rotfl: (I agree, a man must have come up with it). :rotfl2: Do you know what it means?

Colleen your garden is beautiful. :flower:

Was that Cally??? :moped: Man she was quick....better watch those fuel costs :rotfl:

Only 10 days and a wake up for :earsboy:

Airconditioner went out today 86 degrees in the house :sunny: . It finally came back on and is working, but will probably have to be replaced :guilty:

Had a great day with sisters. Celebrated Ann's Birthday :bday: :cake: Talked alot about our trip :hyper2: And bought matching mickey ::MickeyMo tee's!! :goodvibes

Well gotta go to work tomorrow....possible influx of people from the Gulf. Will try and give them extra  from the TKers. :grouphug:

Ann, did you get your usual Happy Meal???

Did you get the Disney toy :Pinkbounc

I got Minnie Mouse yesterday and when Liz got back from driving her boyfriend home, he gave ger a Mickey Mouse that he found at his house :teeth: I hope somebody wasn't wanting to keep it :smooth:

They have about 10 different ones. I want to get Tinkerbell and Chip and Dale too ::yes::

How neat, we want pictures.

Most of my Disney wardrobe of tshirts do not fit anymore :sad2:

I have one on today but it is an XL and I am not an XL anymore :rotfl2: That's okay, I don't mind it being on the large side :earboy2:

You know what I will be bringing home on my next trip :teeth:

Colleen, love your pictures.

I love the fall too. I'm just not ready to let the summer go yet ;)

I think there is something to like about all of the seasons :sunny:

Hiya Threadkillers!

Tinknutt - sorry I missed you, I was reading about WDW on the boards...didn't check.

Cruisin - I got an All American Cheeseburger meal - basically the Happy meal without the toys.

Back to reading about WDW.....
