What in the heck is a boo-bah??????????? description please for clarifications sake!!!
I think it's Boohbah, and they're 5 colored 'things', roundish, along the lines of the Teletubbies. I've only briefly watched the show, thankfully Kelly is too old for either of these shows now.

I guess that I am too far out of the "loop" on kid's shows and stuff because I have never even heard of them before now.
:confused3

all I can say to this Kim is.............. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gives me the "willies" just thinking about it ::yes::
I truly thought I'd get more laughs.

When it happened, I called my Mom because I thought I might need to visit the ER, or at the very least, get some HELP! Later though, it became pretty colorfully funny, in more than one way!

I bet you had to answer a lot of silly questions, over and over and over again, didn't you?????

Did people think your husband had been beating on you???

I know once my sister in law fell down the stairs and when they took her to the ER, they asked if my brother had beaten her up. He was not even home at the time though.

I was also alone, that's why I called 'Mommy'. ;) But yes, lots of questions, and sometimes just a 'look'! My eye healed quickly, before I started work even the next week, but the knee and elbow ended up being the worst, and I limped for a WHILE! And still a bad scar on my knee. :(

Truly, I thought this would be funny. :rotfl:

Ok, this should get a laugh....like the story said, I dropped off Kelly, stayed for opening Church services, and came home and FELL! 1-1/2 hours later, I return to pick her up all bloody and bruised! Try explaining THAT! :sad2: :rotfl:

It is funny in a way, I am sure that you can laugh at it now but at the time it probably wasn't very funny.

We all do those klutsy things, sometime or other don't we.

I hear someone coming in upstairs...... hopefully it is Liz and not the boogey man :earboy2: , since I left the door unlocked for her to get in.

:earboy2: I bet that was a pain ( ;) ) explaining that one. The poor teacher probably was wondering what kind of home your daughter was coming from!!

Yup, it was Liz coming in the door.

She says it is ridiculously cold outside. She went from the car to the house and her nose is all red and her toes are frozen

I hate winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me, too!! I'm freezing and I'm INSIDE!! 2 pairs of socks, and my feet are cold. My hands.......EEK! This time of year, I wish my 'puter was UPstairs!

Actually today I think it was warmer in the basement than it was upstairs.

Upstairs the wind felt just like it was blowing through the walls. I could really feel the temperature difference when I went upstairs.

I'm gunna call it a day Kim!!

Enjoy the rest of your night.

Talk tomorrow maybe.

Ggggggggooooooddddddd Mmmmmmooorrrnnnniiinnnggg,

Berrrrrr....Im am so cold:earseek:.....-4 here this morning!..Today I am NOT going out...Except to feed my poor horses and feed the poor birds.....

Ann,
Talk about klutzy....when I was a kid... I was always falling.....most of the time it was UP stairs...now most people fall down stairs, I fell up them... :( (this is probably the reason my knees are not in great shape today)...It was because I couldnt seem to do anything at a slow pace...I was always running everywhere...I dont fall very often anymore...I am going alot slower these days...Probably because if I do fall, it takes a long time to get myself back up....my legs fold very nicely, but unfolding them is the trick...Its funny even my DSs know that if I kneel down to kiss or talk to one of my DGKs they are there with a hand to help me back up......I still dont know why I dont have any trouble riding horses...youd think I wouldnt be able to...Thank god I still can!...Id be lost if I couldnt ride! :charac2:

Hey BP.....I vote YES to a story...maybe one inspired by our favorite place:wizard: ..........NO ......Not the north pole...silly :earboy2: we already have gotten one of those!

Cally,
I cant wait to see the pics of the house......I hope you have good luck with the closeing and everything goes without a hitch.!

Robin,
I have 10 DGC and I have not heard of the new childrens stuff....I am a movie grandma ......I dont like the cartoons that are out for kids to watch these days....Rugrats, I think only teaches them to be brats....and I have NOTHING to say about teletubbys....They are just weird.....
What ever happened to the jetsons or the flintstones.....Even with the new tech stuff...the cartoons look like a two year old has drawn them....I just dont understand....Give me disney or nothing....well thats not exactly true when I was an older kid I just loved Johnny Quest...and Sometimes speedracer....Im sure I am showing my age......or does anyone remember the Archies???? :D

I have put it off as long as I can ........I guess I have to go and feed my horses....If they are not popcycles by now.....Im not too worried ...they are suppose to be just fine until 30 below....I hope Ill NEVER have to worry about that!

TTFN,
Betsy

Johnny Quest - ooh I thought he was soooo cute! I agree with you, DalPal, I don't watch the cartoons, but DD said GS just loves boo-bah's. Aparently, they're supposed to be part of the DNA chain or something like that - I dunno. I also fall up stairs....can't figure that one out!

Kim - your fall WAS funny - but........ouch! That sounded like it really hurt! My knees are much better today. DH put some Icy/Hot on them last night. The only thing (mildly) sore is my shoulders from breaking the fall.

Cruisin - I'm glad it was your daughter, too. The LAST thing any of the threadkillers need is you..........and this.......... :space:

Well, it's cold here, too! We broke out our down comforter. It was nice & cozy and I didn't want to get out of bed. However, I've gotta get some errands done.....then I'm renting a few movies and I'm in for the day! Hard to believe tomorrow is the first day of winter - I think it's already here!

Well I just found this in my E-mail.......Some of it reminded me of some of my TKer friends!
I think its cute.......Enjoy!

With the holidays close by here are some Holiday Eating Tips.

Some suggestions that we all should follow at this time of year!

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet
table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots,
leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.
(the above reminds me of something BP would say!)

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine
single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch.
You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares
that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn
into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one
for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!
(this one is for me....I LOVE eggnog  )

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point
of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your
mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.
(BP again)

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or
whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car
with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control
your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat
other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?
(again....guess who, also Robin:boat:...hey your going on a cruise...so eat up....EAT UP!)

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's.
You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the
time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.
(Guess who this is for...yup Ann)

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.
( pirate: )

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or,if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert?
(If I remember right I think it was PC who really like pies and pastry,..but this also reminded me of another. ( pirate: )

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory
celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.
( I have always wondered what the heck ANYBODY saw in fruitcake, so this would be me)

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention.
(This one is for Robin :boat:, because I know if I was going on a cruise..this is the way I would (and have)do it....FREE FOOD!)

Reread tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
( hopefully this is all of us! although I would rather have a glass of wine)

:scratchin Its funny when ever I think of food...I think of BP!??? :confused3
